Brownie Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I have heard that a member on this site (Brownie) is coming out of the Hordens, Shame cracking pub Mac is actually one of my favourite customers and he knows very well I have no intention of leaving, despite the rumours. Youre a naughty boy Mackie and shall be punished.
mac Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I was only playing games! If you are looking for somewhere to go on a Saturday night with live music ( few and far beteween these days) you should have a look at the Hordens I'll be the one whos ###### at the end of the bar ###### and if you give your users name and the password for that night i'll buy you an ale !
thenodrog Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 and if you give your users name and the password for that night i'll buy you an ale ! Yeah right mac.... and my credit card details too? BUT There IS already someone who must have sussed my password on here and every so often signs in to make 'contentious' posts. Whoever it is seems determined to get me in bother.

Billy Castell Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I'm probably repeating myself here: Coventry: Craven Arms, Whitefriars Bedford: The Wellington (just off Tavistock Street), The Bear Coalbrookdale (Shropshire): Coalbrookdale Inn
FINRover Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Btw Where is best "party" this week on Friday evening and night in Blackburn/Darwen? I looking some friendly and good atmosphere pubs.
Tris Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Can't find it, but someone was belittling Warsteiner on here recently ... Anyway, had lunch at Blues Bar today - Warsteiner has vanished and been replaced with Peroni.

Ozz Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Draught ... QUOTE (Ste B @ Oct 3 2008, 15:10 ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ooh.. get in What he said.
bob fleming Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 £3.50 a pint yer Peroni on match days in Blues. Just about worth it if you ask me. It's a class act.
Ossydave Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Best draught lager there is Peroni, can only think of Quattro's round here that has it apart from now the Blues bar.
thenodrog Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Gordon on page 12 of the restaurants thread. It concerns me a little how you remembered that. Anyway it's crap and Thwaites are intent on forcing it down our throats by replacing the excellent Carlsberg Export with it in so many outlets.

Anyway it's crap and Thwaites are intent on forcing it down our throats by replacing the excellent Carlsberg Export with it in so many outlets. I am a very irregular drinker of lager as I don't usually like it. I once had a pint of this stuff and actually enjoyed it. As I often agree with your restaurant comments, I took note of your views on the lager.
Grabbi Graeme Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Passed the Ewwod Arms today and it's being done out and painted, let's see how long it stays open this time around
Bing Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 It's being converted to an Indian restaurant I believe.
whittle blue Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 Best draught lager there is Peroni, can only think of Quattro's round here that has it apart from now the Blues bar. The Cavendish Arms, Brindle sells draught Peroni. It's only been on since the new landlord moved in a few weeks ago.

Brownie Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Ewood Arms is now open Gerry Bell is leaving the Moorgate and taking it over. As for beers, watch out for most Thwaites outlets replacing Carling with Fosters. Orders from the new MD, but it wont be happening at The Hordens ! No Chance.

Fosters has to be the worst beer ever made but good to see ewood arms open again and hopefully still won't be a Indian restaurant just I reckon round ewood we need that pub open as it get tooo packed in pubs before and after a game
