Hasta Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Being discussed in other Prem League happenings but thought I'd bring this back to the top. Keegan believed to be in discussion with Newcastle at board meeting. Didn't take training this morning and strong rumours that he's quit (or sacked). In fact on Betfair at the moment he is 8/1 NOT to be the next manager to leave his post.

Majiball Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Did you see all the fans on SSN chanting Keegan's name. I want to see Ashley sit in the crowd next game. The Newcastle soap opera continues as always I think this should make us all feel better about Rovers, look what we could be.
baxendenblue Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Reports say he has resigned. Wonder if they will be asking for permission to speak to our manager?!?!
Wolverine Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Gone http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/02092008/3/k...tle-report.html
joey_big_nose Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Reports say he has resigned. Wonder if they will be asking for permission to speak to our manager?!?! I doubt it! Ince hasn't even shown anything with us yet.
baxendenblue Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I doubt it! Ince hasn't even shown anything with us yet. It was a light hearted comment in view of Souness and Hughes. Maybe we should start a facebook to get Big Sam back there
Billy Castell Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Skybet odds for next manager already up. Dennis Wise may get the job, but all hell will be let loose if he does. The Sky bloke up at St. James Park has just said his sources said he was sacked. If true, that puts an interesting spin on things.
Manc Rover Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Maybe they should go for Hughes... or Big Sam?
Billy Castell Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Apparently money has been put on Moyes or Deschamps. I personally want to see another Geordie messiah-Chris Waddle.
modes98 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Moyes may not be a bad shout. Everton look like they will struggle this season.
Plastic Head Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Quitters quit....simple as. ""I would love if I got another big pay-off and could get paid for doing nothing again.""
Rovermatt Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 This has cheered me up no end. Absolutely hilarious.
Ronin Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Only 3 games into the season! Don't think there's many people who can take over now. Wise, Hoddle, Billy Davies, Shearer are the only ones that come to mind! Doens't look good for 'em. Oh dear, never mind, what a pity
Rovermatt Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 The Guardian has him as being sacked rather than quitting.
Cocker Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Whatever the case, I wish someone would tell William Hill because I had a fiver on that he would be first out before the season even kicked off and it hasnt give me any pennies yet.
LeChuck Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 It was always going to end in tears when Dennis Wise was brought in without Keegan's knowledge. Every fibre of me hopes they appoint Wise as manager, what a terrible appointment that would be. It'd be very apt though, because what a joke of a club they are.
Cocker Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 After Big Al expressed his interest last time and was laughed out of the place because they wanted experience he would be very silly to think about going back a second time.
LeChuck Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 After Big Al expressed his interest last time and was laughed out of the place because they wanted experience he would be very silly to think about going back a second time. I don't see what else he can do to appease the fans, they're raging by the sounds of it. If Shearer could accept working alongside Wise (they might have a decent friendship from their England days) then maybe that's what he'll go for.
The Harwood Yankee Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 And this time, right when we'd WANT them to come after our manager, you can bet they won't!
67splitscreen Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Wonder if the FIFA pro licence will rear it's head again, or should I say the lack of. Wise has not attended the course, and is not listed on the 2008 course neither is Shearer a candidate. One ex Newcastle player that has qualified is Warren Barton qualified in 2007, Can't see him being a contender though. Could be interesting which way they will jump. Kevin Bond??
