chris Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 two players that seem to have gone from stars to average players but if you had the option right now, would you have Pedersen or Duff in your team? who is more promising for the next couple of years?

McClarky Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Duff's been injured for years on and off. If he is fit and likely to stay that way then I would go for him as he is a far better player.
Jordan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 two players that seem to have gone from stars to average players but if you had the option right now, would you have Pedersen or Duff in your team? who is more promising for the next couple of years? Easy....Duff
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Pedersen because he's the Norwegian Beckham and he's a pop star.
Jan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Duff, and I wouldn't let the door hit Pedersen on the arse when he went out
Sandiway Blue Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Both players at their best,i would go for Duff every time.
modes98 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 If both were at the top of their games Duff without a doubt.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Duff, even when off form he still plays okay.
revolutionrock! Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 No contest what so ever, duff everytime
dopper69 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I'm probably a minority here but I'd still go for Pedersen. I have no doubt that he will come good, much as OI believe will Benni
RevidgeBlue Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Completely irrelevant discussion - we haven't signed Duff have we? Of much more interest imo would be "Pedersen or Peter?" I would say MGP has been so out of sorts for such a long period, Peter deserves an extended run. Then, if he doesn't prove good enough to provide serious competition to MGP, fire him off, get him off the wage bill, and get someone in who will be.
Nelsta Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Duff......Simple i even named my cat after him. Then he buggerd off to Chelsea.
ihateburnley Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Duff......Simple i even named my cat after him. Then he buggerd off to Chelsea. You tried the RSPCA?
Nelsta Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Hahahaha. Now when People ask why he's called Duff they all say is it from the beer from the Simpsons...i just tend to agree.
daveoftherovers Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Neither. Both have lost it IMO, I would have said Pederson, without hesitation, and I have defended him so far, but Saturday was the final nail for me, he just didn't look bothered at all.
OJRovers Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 If the question is based on both players being at their TOP FORM then i'd say Pederson, when he was on his best form he gave as good crossed as Duff but was also deadly from set pieces, just remember back when we played Sheff Utd at home last year, when we got that last minute free kick most people thought he would score. Although the question is irrelevant because neither player has played on top form for over a year.
Claytons Left Boot Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Duff......Simple i even named my cat after him. Then he buggerd off to Chelsea. If you see a Jack Russell coming off Darwen Moors answering to the name of Duffer, then that's my dog. I have been a big supporter of Pedersen in the past, mainly when he initially struggled to get in the side. Both players at their peak, there is no contest and Duffer would win hands down and even in his present injury prone state. In all my time watching Rovers I have never seen a player put in such an abject set of performances, week in and week out, and still be picked for the team, like Pedersen. It's a complere mystery.
Eddie Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 At their best it has to be Duff, but Duff hasn't been at his best since just after he left us. He's lost a little bit of pace and is less effective and on top of that he spends most of his time in the physios room, which was always a problem for him, but has become even more of one for the past two or three seasons. For these reasons it has to be Pedersen for me. Pedersen will regain his best form, Duff won't.
