Not sure I agree there, Peter has been out with a long term thigh injury so it's not that he is being overlooked. Treacy has had a rare injury that's just come at an unfortunate time for him. If anything we're better covered on LW than any other position.

Shame some of our more idiotic fans booed Treacy on his full debut, not exactly the confidence booster he needed.

Apparantly Treacy had a interview on Radio Rovers recently & stated he has failed to complete a pre season in the last 5 years due to injurys.

Im not sure that could be classes as "rare".

Mikel Alonso, brother of Xabi, will probably play for the reserves tonight. He is likely to join from Bolton for the rest of the season.

John Curtis also due to play for the Tigers stiffs.

He didn't play... any reason why?

(maybe because it was a very poor side put out? ...and they didn't want him running away at the sight  ) I think Walton will be sent packing back to QPR at the rate he's going...

Clement got a knock, but was the best player on the pitch apparently, John Curtis was the worst player on the pitch and got subbed... he won't be winning a contract... and a 19 year old Swedish trialist also played, but got a knock and went off... Kaciniklic (or something along those lines) is his name...

Just thought I'd let you know incase you need something for a snippet ...everyone knows John Curtis sells papers

There's an interesting young English midfielder being checked out this weekend...comes from a very good source.

If the Rovers spy is at the game in question I'll tell more tomorrow night.

Leave it at that just now.

I want to know how strong this one is first, but it fits and ticks a few boxes.

Oh I like a good guessing game.

Surman from Southampton?

Are these the same people that were linked to Rovers? :(

Sheffield Wednesday could be heading into Russian hands as the Yorkshire club move to the brink of a lucrative takeover deal.

Sportsmail understands a Russian billionaire is the main financier of a bid being brokered by Lancashire businessman Geoff Sheard.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov, a telecommunications tycoon, is believed to be the source of the money.

Yevtushenkov was ranked 93rd on a worldwide rich list in 2006 and the backer's desire for secrecy meant club directors are believed to have been kept in the dark over his identity.

Wednesday have seen evidence that around £60million is in place for the buyout, as well as up to £250m funding over five years.

Not the same ones as far as I am aware. I don't know where this Russian tale is coming from.

The front man and the agent involved are as previously mentioned. The agent involved was in with the 'Asian' group who were sniffing round Rovers a while back. I think they are also involved in the Sheff Wed takeover bid. If not, then it's some coincidence.

The guy Geoff Sheard, who is the front man, has some interesting Rovers links. He was a big noise with Asics when they were tight with the club.

Interesting to see who they will bring in as manager if they do the takeover... ;)
