I heard on the radio some Dingles went onto the pitch and taunted some of the Watford fans.

FA going to investigate i assume?

Ye, ran from one side to the other side, and started pratting about infront of them, then i think they made an exit, all whilst the game was still on

Sheffield Wednesday could be heading into Russian hands as the Yorkshire club move to the brink of a lucrative takeover deal.

Sportsmail understands a Russian billionaire is the main financier of a bid being brokered by Lancashire businessman Geoff Sheard.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov, a telecommunications tycoon, is believed to be the source of the money.

Yevtushenkov was ranked 93rd on a worldwide rich list in 2006 and the backer's desire for secrecy meant club directors are believed to have been kept in the dark over his identity.

Wednesday have seen evidence that around £60million is in place for the buyout, as well as up to £250m funding over five years.

Christ, if that's true why on Earth would you go for Sheff Wednesday rather than us? 60m is approx the same price it would cost for us, and 250 million would be much better spent on a team already in the Premier League with players worth tens of millions than on a Championship outfit, whether or not they have a few k more fans. Sure they'd get promotion, but it would take them years to get where we are.

As a long term investment, Sheff Wed does make more sense than us.

Portsmouth have shown it doesn't take very long to get from average first division side to a top Premiership side if the money is spent wisely.

In fact, I'd guess getting out of the Championship will be a harder task than establishing themselves in the top half of the Premiership.

hehehe :D

Down to one point I believe...

Great game, shocking ref, awful Watford tactics and unbelievable Akinbiyi misses.

Of course, you would probably rather see Watford playing for long throws and bringing a couple of hundred fans to your place next season...

You mean your bank account would rather see the Dingles coming and getting done 4-0 and wrecking half the stadium

My joke was looking so promising and all :(

I want to win the bet obviously, but they are also good to watch. And I saw all four of the last derbies and three of them were thoroughly entertaining.

The figures mentioned in some papers are wrong.

It will only cost a fraction of that to buy out the fans group and the directors.

Then there is a debt to pick up at around £20 million.

Talk of extra money for players is open to question.

There is no comparison with the Rovers takeover talk to be honest.

nicko-anything more on this young english midfielder you mentioned yesterday???

was their scouts at the game, and who is it??

I hear they are watching Tom Soares at Crystal Palace. He knows about it.

Mind you, nobody would have seen him today. He was suspended for the Preston game.

He's OK, an under-21 cap who started well but has not done so much lately.

If you are signing two midfield players I could see him being the 'lesser' one.

The price won't be much more than£1.2 to £1.5 million which comes within range.

Interesting to see how often they look at him in the rest of the season...

They were if you were a Rovers supporter

trouble is the metropolis of Burnley couldnt cope with another Rovers invasion because each time we do pay a visit to their town, THEIR locals seem to smash it to pieces just after the game finishes.

Their local council and insurance firms would have to treble council tax, put the rates up by 300% and increase insurance premiums tenfold

Wednesday are a huge club and a good investment. Their attendances, even in League Two, were far, far in excess of a fair few Premiership clubs.

With that kind of money, they'll be back in the Premier League in two seasons, providing they remain in the Championship this season.

ok..hes pretty decent...he seems to play on the wing for palace tho..

hes only young-so he can still improve..

you think we are looking at two central midfielders to bring in , in the summer??

Soares is probably better in the middle.

I think there is a big chance of and arguably a need for a couple of central midfielders.

Sav has gone, Mokoena wanted out [and is not everybody's idea of a player] and Tugay will only play a few games even if he stays.

There is NOTHING coming through, so two - maybe three if one is a young 'un - would be the plan.

This is quite interesting if you have an hour to wade through it...

Even more intriguing is the revelation about the clubs who knew of the plan in advance.

Bizarre i wouldnt have thought our opinion mattered enough to the premier league to be one of the 4. I was convinced that it would have been the usual "big" 4.
