Did Beye get at least a yellow for raising his arm?

There's just no bloody consistency. Until there is, people will continue to suspect that the FA has it in for them.

Beye and Pedersen recieved yellow cards for that incident, therefore the charge wont be related to the actions of either of those two.

I assume that Styles has mentioned the melee in his match report and the FA have since looked at the incident - and decided to charge rovers because they have seen something untoward. Maybe they took offence at Hughes encouraging Pedersen to take the ball off Beye. Maybe they think that is wrong.

What i am worried about is some idiots in the FA possibly giving us more than a fine, because we are still at the bottom of their 'fair play' table. They might want to make an example of us. It may be highly unlikely this happens, but who knows what goes on in the minds of the FA sometimes and i wouldn't put anything past them...

I always thought that if you raised your hands to someone it was an instant sending off?

This has really flaming tocked me off something chronic.

Amusing and controversial appointment of a referee for the West Ham v Rovers game on Saturday...Martin Atkinson, the man who dared to cross Man U.

Sounds like the game's bigwigs are backing the ref on this one against Sir Alex and Carlos by keeping him on the Prem list this weekend.

He has reffed three of our games at Ewood this season namely Liverpool, Newcastle and Man City.

Each time he has reffed he has let the game flow and it has always been entertaining to watch. He hasn't nit picked or made an issue of things that don't need it and a reason why I picked up on his name.

One contentious decision later and we have Sir Alex calling for his head....quite laughable really.

I listened to Jeff Winter on SSN, not normally a big fan of his but he did make a point of saying that the big clubs are complaining about referee's so that the FA appoint a different official for there matches in other words trying to dictate the choice of referee, Winter's solution was that Martin Atkinson should referee Man Utd's next domestic fixture.

Pretty astonishing news from the FA.

Rovers charged for the Habib Beye-MGP handbags interlude...

But NOT Newcastle.

If your blood boils and you think there is some bias going on here then I can understand.

Were changing the chant of ' get into em' to 'strangle em'. The FA have now said it is ok to try and strangle another person in order to get your own way. Also wrong to try to break up a possible fisticuffs. Sends out a totally wrong message to kids watching football. Complete madness and shows the FA have lost the plot. Good story for the people here!!!!!!

Newcastle need help with regards to their relegation threat - so the FA, knowing they have to act on the incident, decided to step in with a misconduct charge.

Went to Rovers 100 club Christmas bash last season and David Elleray was guest speaker. He was the ref that sent off Roy Keane

1. For diving at Ewood.

2. For carrying out a horrendous tackle in apparent retribution on Alf Inge Haaland (for damaging his cruciate trying to foul the same player at Elland Road).

3. Somewhere else that I'v forgotten.

Anyway for 3 sendings off no matter how bang to rights they were he attracted the displeasure of messrs Keane and Ferguson. He was not only subjected to vitriolic abuse from both..... much of it public.... but also to literally truckloads of hate mail and suspect packages from incensed Scum fans that had been wound uo by employees of the club. The mail thing got so bad that the security guys at Harrow School opened all his mail until that got so bad that Scotland Yard were called in! Needless to say Elleray suffered much personally and has now nothing but disdain and disrespect for the pair of them.

In addition if they are investigating this ... how come there doesn't appear to be any mentioned of the Huth and Parry incident in the cup game at the weekend?

As many of us have said before, it appears to be a case of its easy to give Rovers players a card and not just this season - Boro, Everton Notlob all come to mind as having 'fouls' called against us but similar being left off for the opposition.

In addition we have all seen on many occasions incidents where Rovers have been punished with red cards never mind yellows then see highlighjts of similar incidents where absolutely nothing is given.

As before - it would be interesting to see how many of the cards in the past three seasons have actually been justified as we all know something is not quite right when the refs turn up at Ewood.

Is it true that if Portsmouth finish 5th, and beat Cardiff in the FA Cup final, that the UEFA cup spot goes to the team in 6th place - not Cardiff - meaning 7th would be good enough for Intertoto qualification?

Someone just told me that Cardiff can't qualify for Europe through an English competition - due to the fact they are based in Wales.

Anyone heard this?

That can't be true. They are part of the football league.

Cardiff can't qualify for Europe as an English entrant as they belong to the FA of Wales...

According to this -

"Cardiff enter into English domestic competitions on this understanding and they are fully aware of the rules and regulations under which they take part. These rules remain the same and there would be no scope for Cardiff, or any of the other Welsh clubs in the English system, to qualify for Europe as England's representative."

Am I right in thinking then - if Pompey finish 6th - but beat Cardiff in the FA Cup final, then 7th would be good enough for Intertoto?

Or does it not even have to be Cardiff in this case?

NEWSFLASH:

In addition to the misconduct charge brought against Blackburn "the thugs" Rovers the FA also wish to charge Jason Roberts for bringing the game into REPUTE during last weeks game against Fulham.

While running for goal Roberts was being pulled and kicked from behind but remained on his feet and kept going.

Since he did not fall over and writhe around like a whining b1tch the FA are seeking to censure Roberts for his appalling sportsmanship and fair play.

"It's just not right," according to FA spokesman Bernard McMuppet.

"Behaviour like this will remind the fans that there was once sportsmanship and fair play in the Premier League. If we allow players to go unpunished for not feigning injury and trying to get others sent off then that will damage the Ronaldo's of this world and this can't be good for the game."

Blackburn are currently bottom of the Fair Play league and look set to slip further down as Robert's fair play is set to be punished with 3 red cards.

So...

what if Cardiff win the FA Cup? Does an extra european place go to the league or the runners up of the final?

The UEFA place from the FA Cup can go to the runners up - I believe if certain criteria are filled, but I cant for the life of me remember what has to happen. Something that changed after Millwall....

Surely then it would go to the runners up. Not sure though - it is very confusing.

Then what happens if Everton finish 4th and Liverpool win the Champions League? Liverpool qualify for the Champions League and Everton the UEFA?
