Lets just say if we beat them next then that will be his last game, we seem to do well with getting managers the sack after we defeat them, its like teams expect to beat us????

I know, I always envisage club chairmen saying to their manager "I can handle losing to x,y and z but Blackburn was the last straw, you're sacked!"

I'm sure that's been said a couple of times in boardroom at Newcastle recently :D

Nicko i know you have stated several times that Bents is close to signing a new deal and he is going nowhere.

However from what i've read on this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/7296394.stm

It doesn't sound set in stone.

Have you heard anything about the negotiations and whether or not they are any closer to being resolved?

As far as I know everything is good.

The lad's quotes are positive and you tend to hear if a serious potential bidder is around - and there isn't apart from Man City.

I have no worries on this one. Bear in mind he is already deeply in contract, so it's only a matter of what the club will pay him - and I don't think there is any suggestion of a fall-out.

Nicko have you heard any news about Vogel?

I remember there was some talk saying he had two weeks to prove himself to Hughes.

Just wondering if you have heard how he is getting on?

Vogel has been here for the two weeks, so there should be a decision this week. It depends on the length of deal Rovers offer and how long he wants. I have a feeling this one will happen, it should be straightforward - and Rovers need at least one new midfielder, so bringing in one for free is a reasonable start.

Not sure on Fortune. The word is he is not fully fit...so nothing new there.

Burnley 0 . 3 WOlves

Really good that for a play off chasing team , Wolves couldnt win a raffle before!

There are not many teams showing any kind of play-off form. I said at the start and I will say again now that anyone who strings four or five wins together now will be in the top six.

If Burnley sign a keeper I would be a lot more confident. Take away the mistakes that Kiraly and Jensen have made and they would be top-two contenders and not just on the fringe of the top six.

What do you think will happen with Fraizer Campbell next season Nicko?

Do you think Man Utd may use him instead of the forever crocked Saha?

Arsenal bought Walcott for £12million and from all the games I've watched Campbell in he's at least on par with Walcott. Has just as much natural talent IMO.

He reminds me of a cross between Matt Derbyshire and Matt Jansen (in his prime) but with extra pace added to that too.

I fancy Boro for a shock win tonight. It won't happen but it would be great for us. Pompey have a far harder task beating Brum as they can't score goals at the moment.

Spot On Mr Williams

Newcastle not charged? bloody hell I thought the forearm smash to Gamsts head was worthy of a sending off at the time.

Yeah, a few ifs ands or buts and we'd be second or third. Still Nicko, hope springs eternal your lot are still only one win off the pace for a playoff spot but the pack is getting closer.

If Burnley sign not only a new keeper, but four new defenders a new midfield and some decent strikers then you might be in with a shout nicko.

There a crap football team with less fans than we have premiership your having a laugh.
