Please say you're joking.

Are you insinuating that selling Benjani and replacing him with Defoe has weakened Pompeys attack?

Defoe doesn't fit in with Pompey's all round team. Big and hard!

He is a good striker but i don't see him on the top 10 scorers list, yet there is Benjani at 5 and strangely our our Santa at 7. Goals win games. Give him credit 6 in 6 isn't bad but Rocky could do better.

if you didnt refer to rovers as "us" i wouldnt think your a rovers fan...

i know you have opinions and this board is about opinions-but nearly everything you say is negative..

were in a good position-europe is still in our sights-i feel to see how we europe is out of our sight-maybe you could tell me??

oh and maybe if the board actually provided mark hughes with funds, we could be signing players like defoe and diarra-but hughes hasnt..and for what hughes has done on a limited budget im pleased with were we are sitting...

modes, the mind boggles. Defoe doesn't fit in, despite scoring 6 in 6. He's not on the top scorers list... THATS BECAUSE HE'S MISSED HALF A SEASON! Roque could do better.... WELL HE DIDN'T DID HE.

Mozzer, I'm negative as everything is poor, and I'm angry. I don't enjoy paying money for the tripe I've had to endure this season. It's very easy for Phillip to sit in his big padded arse massaging chair in Malta and take the positives from each game, he might see it differently if a large chunk of his income was going on funding this mediocre sh*te.

It's like because we pay less for tickets than other clubs, we should expect less quality.

And having just looked out our home form since November, the very first game of; It's awful. Truely disgaceful.

We have only scored more than one goal on 3 occasions in TWELVE MATCHES!!!! (Losing one to ten man Arsenal reserves 3-2) We have lost to Villa, West Ham, Chelsea, failing to score in all three, we have lost to Coventry, and had goalless draws with Everton and Liverpool, as well as low score draws with Fulham and Boro. We managed to scrape past a poor Sunderland team, and won the other two 3-1 and 4-1, against Newcastle and Bolton. Two team in the bottom 5.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH... MASK IT HOW YOU WANT... NOT VALUE FOR MONEY HOWEVER CHEAP. So I will be as negative and critical as I wish.

And give me the option of swapping our team and style with Pompey and I would every time. Missed the point? I don't really see where.

Rigters to Norwich eh? At least he's handy for nipping back to Amsterdam.

Not seen him before and always difficult to judge an opinion on one viewing but what I saw last night Rigters is nowhere near good enough for the premier league.

The only thing he appears to possess is pace.

Jamie Clarke looked the better prospect of the two up front.

Rigters didn't play last night...he was pulled out before the game to keep him fit for his move. Clarke was ok, the other lad up front was Marshall.

Wonder who CAPT KAYOS was watching then - he must have been rubbish

His name was on the sheet, but he was pulled out beforehand. But it was dark ;) [probably the worst floodlights ever] and there was no PA system to correct the mistake. Understandable to pick up the wrong info.

In that joint Pompey/ Rovers Team - I would pick Samba ahead of Distin, Freidel without doubt ahead of James (Although james has done well this year - so far) and Reid on top Form would also replace one of the middle men.

As for the rest - Pompey have alot more cash and have spent alot more - therefore they should be along way infront of us - and they aint. This season the best we can hope for is inter-toto but i dont think that will happen.

Next season will be harder, but i also believe we will be better equiped.

Indeed Nicko I have just realised.

Was posting on the Academy thread but the board crashed on me and have been trying to get back in.

Just looked at the official board - not only did I get the players a bit mixed up but also missed the first goal ( I was a couple of minutes late getting on ) so only thought it was 1 -0

Anyway the person in question was actually Marshall - so apologies to both guys in question :wstu: but he still doesnt look good enough IMO

Not been on the reserves or seen the youngsters for absolutely ages so am I forgiven?

Only my opinion but agree on Nolan.

I'd like to have seen Vogel play, but if he is not fit enough for the ressies it suggests he is not fit enough for the first team. So he must be pretty unfit.

Good to see Nellie get a game although I note it was two months and not two weeks that he needed off. He needs to have some action to find out if the hamstring/backside problem is sorted. If not, you would have to fear that he needs an op to get to the bottom of it. No pun intended.

Hey Nicko. Interesting that we signed Vogel without playing him in the reserves... any news on what the reckoning is in terms of getting him up to speed? Two weeks, a month next season?

I would love to see him on the bench within two weeks but that might be unrealistic....

No need to apologise...it was like the Dark Ages last night in more ways than one.

Nolan has grown physically and looks like a man now - he's a good advert for going out on loan and learning your trade.

Slightly worrying in my opinion - if he couldn't have been given a bit of a run out in the reserve game last night.

Either he is being saved for the first team or he is carrying an injury , as even being slightly unfit I would have thought he could have had at least a cameo role last night

According to Radio Lancs, he could be in Saturday's squad, if international clearance comes through in time.

Is that taking fitness into account?

If he is in the squad that is awesome. Although I hope it is not a De Pedro style throwing someone in even though they are patently not ready. But then thats not Hughes' style.

Maybe he has kept himself in good condition over the winter?

I would be amazed if he was ready for action, but it's possible he will get a seat on the bench soon just to get a flavour of it - and maybe a few minutes.

Indeed, blink and you missed the subs too. I can only assume that the Wigan team was as per team sheet.

be negative and critical all you want, but this tells me you think rovers are better then what we actually are..me being realistic i think sitting 9th in the table 4points behind your beloved portsmouth who sit in 6th is pretty good..you obviously arent pleased with sitting in 9th place 4points off pompey-would you care telling me where you think rovers should be sitting???

oh and you say you dont enjoy playing money for tripe-imagine how derby fans feel...were going well..get a grip and stop thinking were better then what we actually are..

by the way-i do like porsmouth, and i think harry redknapp has a very good squad-but the way your making them out to be and their football its like there the best..blackburn can play good football aswell believe it or not..maybe if you stop being so critical of things you may notice were a decent side..

edit: oh and if portsmouth are so great go support them, get off blackburns back-but remember even the great harry redknapp himself has said he tries copying blackburns style-he sets his team to be out like us-so go ahead...

Jason Koumas WON'T be playing on Saturday. There will be no appeal against the three-game ban for the tackle on Gary Cahill of Bolton. Wigan are scared that the FA will give him an extra game. Their cards have been marked that they are wasting their time.

So much for justice in action at the FA.
