1864roverite Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Chelsea cancelled he loan as he had only played 2 games for them and therefore recalled him. he was then quickly despatched onto the next team to furhter his football education. Sidenote on this young man. he has been "done" 3 times recently for breaches of discipline and is on a final warning at CFC. Although a relatively untried talent it is certain that he will be a top player in the future and that might not just be at Chelsea. if only Rovers could get him eh?

brian_gallagher85 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Not many players have turned down Roma to go to Ewood Park. I'd say Raffa De Vita would though
Torgeir Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 how about Alberto Gilardino? on his way out of Milan, possibly going to Roma. Great striker Please no, he's utter rubbish.
herbergeehh Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Now that is a strong statement. He's had problems at Milan, and hasn't produced the same form (certainly not in terms of goalscoring) as he showed playing for Parma - but his talent is undoubtable. Strong, good technique and decent pace. He's more the Santa Cruz type than the Bellamy type though, and if Roma is interested (I doubt that will go through though) he's out of reach.
EwoodGlory Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Thanks for pointing out the Pompey odds Nicko Had bets on both To win and HT/FT
Fife Rover Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 In years gone by it has always been Millwall-supposedly stems from both sets of supporters working on the docks and falling out over a strike many moons ago. It is always an interesting day out when we play each other. I've had some right shockers at the Den! Due to the fact that we don't play them much because of our differing fortunes I would say that Spurs are, in my opinion, our most hated rivals. Chelsea aren't far off either. Different Hammers will have those three in a different order but I reckon Spurs currently hold the title of most hated. Thanks for that RM; an interesting and informative answer. Most of us are not over-fond of Spurs or Chelsea either.
EwoodGlory Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Is there any chance we can get Zarate for less than the £20m Al Sadd want? He is class
nicko Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 On a very selfish note...thank you, David James. A ht/ft double result was called for. Pigging Derby equaliser cost me 500 quid, so it was some consolation.
EwoodGlory Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Tell me about it, not quite £500 but still Quadruple Arsenal @ 8/11 Fulham @ 7/5 Portsmouth @ 4/5 Cardiff @ 10/11
ffan Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 No worry boys, we won't be around long more to fail you goodselves.
Mozzer Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 nicko-just wondering who this mystery target is??-if you can say...

Ok so I exaggerated a tad. I haven't watched him more than 10-15 times so I'm really not one to judge, I can only say he's failed to impress me. He's the type of player Rovers could go for though - like Roque he's got talent (I'll take your word on that) but hasn't produced the goods for a few years.
EwoodGlory Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 No worry boys, we won't be around long more to fail you goodselves. I feel sorry for Fulham fans, all that money spent and doesn't look like you'll recoup much of it, and 4 wins in 32 games. Hows Bouazza been this season, haven't heard much of him, looked really good at Watford. There's far to much money been wasted in this league this year, thank god we have Sparky at the helm.
S15 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I guess this is the mystery target, sure some posters could shed some light....
Cocker Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I guess this is the mystery target, sure some posters could shed some light.... shillito15 Posted Today, 07:35 And here's the morning line to ###### you all off... I don't know who either of those guys are but I think we can safely say that from now until the transfer window closes in August that there will be a Bentley to leave story in the paper each week.

Correction- every day. And Bents signing his new contract won't make much difference either.
Mc Love Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 never heard of this gearoid morrissey lad, but if he can prove a good investment, then why not!
nicko Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 I guess this is the mystery target, sure some posters could shed some light.... Yes, it is...and also pretty much what it says on the tin. Rovers have been checking on the lad Bradley for some time and the top scout picked out his game for the United States against Poland last week - and he did well. I know Everton are very keen, but do not think he is worth the £4.5 million fee. I think Rovers are probably more interested than them - and I would think the manager will go for a final look soon. He ticks a lot of boxes - price range, young, athletic, can improve, midfield legs... I think we will hear a lot more about him soon. The kid Morrissey is coming over to sign and is just a young 'un. And don't worry about the Bentley moving stuff. I still think the contract issue WILL be resolved...it should be soon enough.
Mozzer Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 anything in blackburn after kightly maybe just for back up or something??? this bradley guy has scored like 15 goals this season from midfield-pretty good-albeit in the dutch league..
thenodrog Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Would have thought we would have been in front of Heerenveen in the first place in looking at this lad given that our keeper has his own soccer school in the USA and is held in great esteem over there. Hopefully the academy overhaul might see to that.
philipl Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 You keep forgetting Britain's tight immigration rules means that non-internationals (like Bradley was before he went to Heerenven) cannot play in England.
thenodrog Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 You keep forgetting Britain's tight immigration rules means that non-internationals (like Bradley was before he went to Heerenven) cannot play in England. Sorry Pip. I'd really no idea until just now that young Bradley was a white caucasian male. Thanks for telling me ... it saves the bother of googling his piccy.
1864roverite Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I would think that Carl henry is a better option than Kightly at Wolves.
nicko Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 anything in blackburn after kightly maybe just for back up or something??? I don't know anything about that story, but I'm not saying it's wrong. I do know that Kightly has had a lot of injuries and not lived up to the initial excitement when he went to Wolves. But if they make the play-offs you will have a better chance to judge him.
