If we ever sign Diouf I'd hand my season ticket in. It'll never happen anyway- don't need him, was accused of spitting in at our fans previously and doesn't score.

Knowing Curbs' record of signing injured/injury prone players I'm worried that we might sign Kewell... in fairness though I don't think we'll be signing too many players this summer. Maybe Luca Toni if we're lucky.

Have West Ham run out of cash??

Not run out of cash per se- more that the current owners are unhappy to spend more until we lose the dead wood, get rid of some high earners and we just haven't seen our new signings play much at all. We've got so many players in the squad who will never contribute and need to go. When (if!) all are fit then it will be like a few new signings, a cliche but true in this case imo. Further to that we still seem no nearer to moving which is where our owners will make their money back. The stuff in the papers about Iceland's economy has lead to some scare-mongering about us being skint but West Ham is the owners most stable asset at present. His son is richer than him as well. All in I don't expect us to sign any superstars as we will welcome back some injured players- Bellamy, Faubert, Dyer plus a fully fit Parker and Ashton should mean we'll be fine. Need a left and right back though.

I only mention Luca Toni as I know our new DoF was integral in Toni's success and was told about rumours that he wanted to come to England.

The reason Eggy was sacked relates to the fact that he was the driving force behind signing an old, injury prone Ljungberg on a stupid contract, Lucas Neill and others. He was also very vocal regarding our aspirations this season- he mentioned going for Europe etc which was totally against what Curbs and the board wanted, their aim was a stable season to consolidate and kick on again next year. This sense of false expectation has meant that Curbs and the team have an undue amount of pressure on them and the crowd have become easily riled. The injuries have compounded this.

Dream on..........

Why go to WHU when Barcelona and Inter are beckoning.

Are Hammers becoming the new Spurs?

Lost 2-0 to Norwich!!

The gap is closing!

By the way, "No-win" Coyle was in Blackburn B&Q last Sunday (no really he was!), I didn't see what was in his trolley but it might be wise for him to purchase a fire extinguisher.

To be serious though, I had a quick word and he seemed a decent guy, possibly only now realising what he has taken on !!!

At least he had the sense to stay away from Burnley DIY shops.....too much ammo for 'em in those places.

The most stable asset a premiership football club! Now that is a terrifying thought.

Nicko - any truth in this beow...... its in three different papers today.

Blackburn are ready to pay £3.5million for Fulham midfield ace Steven Davis.

Good player.

He WAS a good player at Villa but something has gone wrong. Fulham could not wait to move him out and I think he has been only average for Rangers.

You can do better.

You were spot on about the first bit but my Rangers supporting mates say he has been fantastic, especially in Europe, where the pace of the game is much much slower.

Any chance Hodgson will get the old p45?

He's been better than average for Rangers, far better. Excellent player, wouldnt pay £3.5m for him mind, but I'd be happy to see him come in for around £2m.

Is he better than Dunn, Reid or Vogel?

I thought the plan was to sign first team starters in the summer. He would not be in front of any of them.

If Davis was that great Rangers would sign him and not let him out of the building. I suspect the story today is a bid to make Rangers make their minds up - and that probably tells you they are unsure about him.

If the asking price is £3.5m then its hardly surprising they are unsure of him. As I said before, that's too much.

On form over the last few months I would say yes, he is better than Dunn and Reid. I'll reserve judgement on Vogel for now.

The moral of this story is, get the wrong manager and down you go.

Unless you appoint Bryan Robson, in which case you complete the greatest escape in the history of the Premiership.

And then go down.

You know how glad we were when Newcastle came in for Souey - well Megson, Leicester, god-send...! (except they didn't find a successor).
