philipl Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 After the 75th minute, the Italian Sky feed kept dropping so I didn't see that.

roversmum Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 At 72 minutes in place of Malbranque. Big lad he is, too.
philipl Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 At 72 minutes in place of Malbranque. Big lad he is, too. He obviously trod on the TV cable whilst warming up then.
roversmum Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I think he trod on a few of our players during the rest of the match as well!
T4E Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Dingles are still only 3 points off 6th aren't they despite putting in a relegation performance for the past month or so? Its actually 4 points, and they're the only team in the top half with a neg GD. In addition, Wolves and Ipswich are still yet to play their games in hand. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dingles finished in the bottom half.
Earlydoors Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Stoke are scared, Bristol City don't score goals, Hull are surprising everyone including themselves, Watford are ugly, West Brom are bottlers too often. Take your pick. Ok then, err West Brom (best footballing team) Hull (they know no fear) and Palace (Warnock knows how to do it and isn't afraid to chance it)
American Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 More than peeved... Not because clubs are loaning good young players to Championship sides, but because Chelsea went back on a promise to send Sinclair to Burnley. He would make a difference anywhere at that level. Pardon my FM ignorance if I'm wrong, but isn't the decision also the players?
1864roverite Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I think each and everyone of the current promotion chasers are suffering some sort of bottle loss. They are all nervous and it is evidenced on the pitch. Bristol City, Stoke, Watford, WBA have all wobbled with odd results from games they would normally have won. Plymouth have gone off the boil, as have Wolves and Ipswich. Hull and palace appear to be the teams in a little bit of form whilst the rest, including little old Burnley, have choked. It may be the case of the fingers touching the richest pot in history and turning to jelly ! This weekend will be interesting and I am sure we will see the top 6 established as we reach the final 3 games stage. Who will be the strongest ? Who will be the weakest ? If your a Championship club supporter then that rocky ride hasnt settled just yet.
AndyR Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Purley gossip but a fan of the pigs feet down the road tells me there are a lot of rumours flying around notlob that Big Sam and Freddy Shepherd are going to try and takeover the club?? Sounds like rubbish to me or is there an ounce of truth in it??
nicko Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Pardon my FM ignorance if I'm wrong, but isn't the decision also the players? In this case, no. It was decided by his agent when he went to Charlton - which was a big mistake - and then a Chelsea official over-ruled Grant and sent him to Palace.

Sounds like rubbish to me or is there an ounce of truth in it?? Heard it before and checked it...told it was wrong. Heard it again today and checked it...told it is still wrong. Shepherd is enjoying his time out of the game and not interested in buying a club too soon. Allardyce is in Dubai, doing TV work at £10,000 a show.

Nicko, don't know if you have commented on this earlier, but is the rumours about Collins taking over for Hodgson true? Might put a few quid on betfair if thats true.
AlanSheppard Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 The Independent today had a brief story about AC Milan lining up Chris Samba in the summer. Any truth in this at all? Looks to me like it was a very slow day for news at Indy Towers. It's up there with the Barcelona want Lucas Neill rumour.

Do you know what the latest is with regards to sheff weds being taken over and is anybody still making enquires about rovers?
ffan Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 and roy hodgson is nearly gone woo - hoo http://www.fulhamfc.com/Club/News/NewsArti...bStatement.aspx
nicko Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 SAMBA...Not heard the AC Milan rumours and doubt there is anything in them. SHEFF WED...Takeover meant to be still at the talking stage, but as we know that is cheap. FULHAM...I would be surprised if Hodgson's contract extended beyond the end of this season anyway. So if he goes it will be a quick one - and they will need someone to come in fast and get the thing going again. Collins is available, popular and quite good.

Pretty sure he'll become director of football.

Nicko, you said Pardew didn't like Sinclair when he saw him play. So why did he sign him if he didn't know his game? What happened there?
thenodrog Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Allardyce is in Dubai, doing TV work at £10,000 a show. I've often wondered how much TV pundits are paid. Obviously the mainstays like Hansen, Shearer and Lawrenson will be on good money but more interesting would be the fees for the the occasional experts like Tim Sherwood and Neil Warnock.
Alex Rover Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Allardyce is in Dubai, doing TV work at £10,000 a show. Rob McCaffrey left Sky to go over there as well. Rob McCaffrey formally of Granada's "Kick-Off". Them were t'days.

broadsword Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Not that I know of, but he was (allegedly) caught with his pants down and his man stick in hand in a soho bongo moviedrome once.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Wasn't he a dingle? Preston North End fan
