Moyes may feel he has taken Everton as far as he can. With Celtic you get the ability to compete in Europe every season. Granted they aren't in the best shape at the moment, but a manager could come in and transform them into champions again quite easily.

I don't know. Moyes has put a lot into that squad, pretty much everyone has been signed by him and the general squad age is pretty young. He would have to be mad to go when things are looking pretty rosy. Only problem, I guess, is if the toffees run out of money which could happen I guess. But really he has got a super squad who, with a couple of additions, will be really dangerous next year.

Why throw it away to start again?

More than peeved...

Not because clubs are loaning good young players to Championship sides, but because Chelsea went back on a promise to send Sinclair to Burnley. He would make a difference anywhere at that level.

Oh well, they did get Andy Cole, I seem to remember someone here scoopin that an how it was sooo great for the McDingles.

Adam Johnson we would be - have been linked in the past

Is that the Johnson that plays for Boro and England U 21's. If so he really impressed me, has some good pace and is tricky, looks like some real potential there.

Its actually 4 points, and they're the only team in the top half with a neg GD. In addition, Wolves and Ipswich are still yet to play their games in hand. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dingles finished in the bottom half.

That division is far from over, looks like quite a few dog eat dogs coming up too so Nicko should not give up on his winnings just yet. Last I looked, several days ago, Cardiff were well in the mix also, assuming success in their game in hand.

Gerald Stinstadt is a comentator for bbc score i.

Didn't he also get found out as a homosexual?

He still around, never forget him walking by the Rovers fans at Deepdale, Rovers fans were shouting Gerald Gerald and he turned round to smile and we and there was a big Eff Off from the Rovers fans. Was sooo funny, probably had to be there.

Rovers fans used to chant about him bein a homo when ITV Cameras were coverin us.

He's a £7.2m target for Valencia and Atletico according to todays gossip column. I agree though, for £2m we should have kept him, he had a lot to his game.

You are not alone, I too thought it was a mistake to let him go, still needed work but he has some natural ability too, again the word potential come to the front.

It was a shame we didn't sign FSP and I think we'd have been a lot better this season with him and RSC up front. He was lightweight but fast and talented. We made a mistake not signing him...

I hadn't even thought of it in those terms - that's a partnership with massive potential.

Maybe i look into things to much but i look at certain teams and you can see when they are performing better than they should, by resources, etc.

Moyes has probably got Everton to as high a level as they will get to(same could apply to Hughes), I can't see them breaking into the top 4 and i can see the teams below being given more cash to spend and overtaking them. He will only get fan backing and media phrase whilst he is keeping them at such a high level. Once they slip down the table he will find himself under pressure and out of the limelight. If he leaves Everton and they follow that path above or decline suddenly then he was a quality manager in the media's eyes.

Only my little theory about teams and managers but you never know.

Coventry just two points off the drop. If they lose that game against Colchester they could well go down and we could win some serious cash.

I just did the BBC sports predictor thing for the Championship - and its so tough to call for that final relegation spot. I had the top 6 (in order) as West Brom, Stoke, Hull, Wolves, Watford and Bristol City.

Going down I had Colchester, Scunthorpe and COVENTRY. But that was on goals scored from Barnsley. It could be anyone from Blackpool, Sheff Wed, Southampton, Leicester, Norwich, Barnsley and Coventry for that final spot. I had Coventry drawing their next three, and losing the last game. They're bound to win one unfortunately.

There's a strange story kicking around that Benni McCarthy has signed a new deal...

I have no idea why that has happened, but I'm sure there will be a good reason. :o

Maybe Rovers have got benni to sign a new contract to get rid of any clause that could have seen him leave for the same price Rovers paid. Which means that Hughes can now sell him in the summer and make more money

That is about the only good reason I can think of...at the moment he is being paid about £40,000-a-MINUTE not a week for all of the action he is seeing.

Strange.

Is it true Birmingham are about to announce new owners? If so any idea who it is?

I don't think so, but there is a bit of a fuss over the cops calling yesterday. The same cops who have spent months chasing paper trails and trying to figure out how football works.

I'm not sure I am overjoyed that the taxpayers are footing a bill for all of this.

IF - and I have to stress IF - the Cisse deal is being looked at what money can have gone missing. He only cost £300,000 in a transfer fee...so who could make a killing on a deal like that, it doesn't make sense.

I think Plod is just looking for a result - any result.

nicko-is there anything in rovers interested in mendy the right back from psg??

i hope there is-hes cheap and a very good full back...

Mendy was a very good player a few years back when he was at Bolton on loan but he has never really come through. He can't get in a poor PSG team every week.

He's an interesting free transfer and he's been offered around. But I have not heard any positive news about him and any one club in particular. You could do worse, but you could probably do better too.

What's this about Real offering £100 million+ for Ronaldo?

Real were in before and will be in again, so it doesn't surprise me.

The money would certainly wipe out the Glazers debt problems for a while... ;)

I'm not sure the figure is believable, a bit too round for my liking, but this story will run and run.

Ronaldo will be laughing all the way to the bank, either a massive new deal or a move to Spain.

Still, if you're the best player in the world people are going to want you and pay for the privilege.

I wouldn't take it. He looks like he's going to get 40 goals from midfield this season and you expect him to score every game. 100m is a hell of a lot of money - but Ronaldo will only get better.

That's my line of thinking. Granted you probably will never beat that figure but his goals are priceless for Man Utd, in the CL and PL.
