Daremz Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I've read we're interested in SC Heerenveen's Miralem Sulejmani. He's the next big thing, amazing player, and if he only thinks of Blackburn Rovers, we're already blessed...man, that would be the best thing we could ever do: Sign Miralem Sulejmani.

RibbleValleyRover Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Any links to this Daremz ? Looks like Everton might be interested as well http://www.nsno.co.uk/news-3297.html
(Diverse media) http://www.voetbalprimeur.nl/site/nieuws/7...el_bekijks.html All in Dutch. We had a scout at Heerenveen's match at Sparta Rotterdam (we've played there in last season's pre-season!) to watch him. But as you might understand: There are more clubs...
Backroom trueblue Posted April 15, 2008 Backroom Posted April 15, 2008 Looks like Everton might be interested as well http://www.nsno.co.uk/news-3297.html And Chelski... according to the write up in the link you posted
USABlue Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 We would have a decent shout I think if Hughes gets to meet the player. He has that gravity about him and the facilities are so impressive that I think we would have a good shout. Wooing RSC was no mean feat. Plus Hughes could say, quite accurately, that Bradley will be a key player from day one. Everton have such a large squad that he might not feel he will get in the first team straight away. If this lad is anything like the way I have heard he is then the club that will turn his head is the one that can sell him on how much they can help him improve his game. From what I hear this lad has a genuine desire to be the best he can be.
Hughesy Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Hope he is good enough and ends up with us then. What sort of fee are we talking?
they_think_its_all_rover Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Nicko; Stu Pearce & Paul Jewell @ Hull Vs Barnsley... know why? most obvious for Pearce would be watching Campbell for U21s?
nicko Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Rovers and Everton watching Bradley at Heerenveen...no-one else.
nicko Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 Nicko; Stu Pearce & Paul Jewell @ Hull Vs Barnsley... know why? most obvious for Pearce would be watching Campbell for U21s? Watching two of his players out on loan...Fagan and Nyatanga.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Watching two of his players out on loan...Fagan and Nyatanga. Apparently a £750k fee for Fagan has been agreed I've heard.
grizfoot Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Apparentley there was a Rovers scout at the Rochdale/Barnet game tonight. Any ideas who they were looking at?
Grabbi Graeme Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 According to the soccer special on Sky Sports there were 30 scouts at that game.
ftry Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 This guy http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11750_3411107,00.html
nicko Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 There were mainly lower division sides watching the Barnet kid, but that's about his level.
nicko Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 On a musical note...any fans of the old Sutherland Brothers should have a look at this site. Cracking new album for people of a certain age and disposition. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...endid=173045906
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 It says on SSN that Shinawatra is going to review Sven's position at the end of the season. Madness in my opinion.

The trouble is Shinawatra and his 'people' don't know football. They spent big - because they were coming in late last summer - and have done OK. Shinawatra doesn't necessarily see it that way, so Sven might be under pressure. But would anyone want that job?

This was reported in one of the weekend papers (Independent?). They also suggested that Big Phil Scolari was the man they were looking at.
ABBEY Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 just heard the same on talk**** but they say scholari has been primed already
T4E Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 But would anyone want that job? Mark Hughes would take it.
Eddie Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 and if their wages could be the same (which they wouldn't be), I'd happily do a Sven-Hughes swap.
LeftWinger Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 and if their wages could be the same (which they wouldn't be), I'd happily do a Sven-Hughes swap. We've got some people moaning Hughes doesn't out-think other managers tactically, and you'd want to bring that clown in?
