they_think_its_all_rover Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Nicko, is anyone watching Songo'o on loan at Sheff Weds from Pompey? I've been impressed with him, from what I've seen... why don't Pompey use him?

nicko Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 There is a European player coming in for talks and a trial...a young one...plays right wing. Before anyone reaches the wrong conclusion he is not seen as David Bentley's replacement. Full name and details when the papers hit the streets tomorrow. But might slip his name out after the footie tonight.

nicko Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Is he someone we'll have heard of? He's an international, but not what you would call a household name. By the look of it he is worth a look - and he's cheap.
nicko Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 For those who like a little Betfair action... There is an intriguing market in the Premiership Handicap section. There are six teams still in with a chance of winning it. Rovers are the outsiders of the six at a ridiculous price if you fancy it. However Villa look extraordinary value at 8s when you consider they will probably win their last two games...

they_think_its_all_rover Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Quick but brainless... I know it was only Leicester, but at the weekend he showed some good footballing brains and pretty much single-handedly tore them apart. (see highlights of Sheff Weds Vs Leicester on Virgin media website)
LeftWinger Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I've just done the BBC Predictor thing - and for the betfair handicap I had it finishing: Arsenal 96, City 95, Villa 95, Everton 94, Rovers, 94, Pompey 93. I think with Arsenals last two games being very winnable - they are excellent value at 10-1 myself Nicko.
Iceman Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 If it’s a young player under the age of 20 then he most probably be in the reserves….and never be heard of again Nicko is it the New Zealand Chap,or is he already at Rovers?

they_think_its_all_rover Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I've just done the BBC Predictor thing - Did the same myself earlier... Rovers finishing 7th above Pompey with Everton in 6th & Villa in 5th. Bottom 3 was Derby, Birmingham then Fulham going down on goal differance to Bolton.
Iceman Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Zimbabwe.... i hope its some classy unknown Brazilian from the under 20's....

The player coming is polish under 21 star Radoslaw Majewski..you heard it hear 1st Blackburn Rovers are interested in one of Polish football’s brightest talents, Radoslaw Majewski from Groclin Grodzisk. It is reported that they offer 3M€ for the young Polish playmaker. Polish media report that the initial deal has already been signed.

I think with Arsenals last two games being very winnable - they are excellent value at 10-1 myself Nicko. I thought the same myself. I had 5 of them finishing on 96 with Villa on 95. Is it fair to assume that the tiebreaker is goal difference?
adopted scouser Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 In the Mirror on Saturday they said we were signing two Polish players. So we've given up on trying to get the muslims to Ewood, concentrate on another community
Iceman Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I'm pretty sure I heard that first on here about a week ago? lol,i know im just trying to get Nicko to just shut us all up by revealing the player in question
LeftWinger Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I thought the same myself. I had 5 of them finishing on 96 with Villa on 95. Is it fair to assume that the tiebreaker is goal difference? It said on betfair that goal difference doesn't count and dead heat rules apply. (I'm not exactly sure what they are but sure someone will around here)
LeftWinger Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I must have missed that Majewski link. I suggested him as a possible target about a month ago on the realistic transfers thread. I'd be delighted if we signed him. Only seen him once for the Polish U21s, but he looked head and shoulders above every English man on the pitch. The sort of creative player we should be after.
