Suppose, should not make sarcy comments, when I know little about the player, as Hughes has rarely let us down in the past (in the transfer market).

They, erm......crash a helicopter into a bridge?

In all seriousness this Coyle bloke looks pretty competent - and with the amount of poor managers around that could be enough to see them promoted.

Shut the F**k up.

Nicko Will be wetting his pants over that now.

Also Nicko, nothing in other papers about the Argie and Cole, apart from the retard in the Lancs telegraph.

But i thought Cole was signing today? <_<

Like i said before, if the Argie was that good , i think Prem teams would be sniffing around him.

If you knew some of the stupidity that goes on before transfers get done you would realise why they take so long...

Trotman is a pretty good prospect and may get better, I'm not knocking them for showing an interest.

The fact is there is NO up-and-coming young defender at Rovers who has his kind of power and potential.

If Oldham sell I think you will be in - and it would not be a stupid thing to do.

If he is as big as Samba, he would be a good asset to have, height and power and a daunting prospect for an attacking forward to deal with. Also defences now watch Samba at corners - imagine two big giants!!!!!!!!!

Where abouts in defence does Flynn play?

Trottman or Scharner?

Totally different players and needs for the clubs...one is to come through, the other is needed to stay in the Premier League.

Suppose. But who would you prefer bypassing all the logic Trotman or Scharner?

Trottman or Scharner?

I'm sorry but it doesn't half get annoying from time to time when your just whittering on about Fulham.

I have no problem with you whatsoever but this is Blackburn Rovers messageboard, and noone cares who Fulham are signing at all, or to be honest, anything relating to Fulham.

However, certain discussions get saturated with Fulham!!

if trottman is one for the future, what was the point of signing flynn?

Different types - and I have to stress Trotman is an inquiry at this stage.

I have just had a look at Sumulikoskis wikipedia site which has been updated recently.

Either Leftwinger has been at work or Valice reckons he is on his way to Blackburn.

Beat me to it LATD.

Coincidentally this is only the second time I have ever heard of Trotman. The first was last night from a friend who reckons he's a good player. My friend just happens to be the dad of an ex-Rover and current League 2 manager.

Value for money, Scharner too costly for Rovers to make a mistake on.

Trottman cheaper worth a punt, maybe a good prospect, easier to sell on if no good.

Can any defender be any worse than Oojer was that first game against Chelsea !!!!!! yet now look at him, in comparison to that day!!!!

Interesting if Rovers are looking at defenders - they have just bought Flynn - is Hughes looking to replace the whole defence in time? Also younger players.

If it's any use to you...just spoke to David Craig, who is a mate, and he has never spoken to the player. So it may be a stunt - or they got the Sky man's name wrong.

Neal Trotman, Oldham's big centre half and funnily enough ex-Burnley.

Loads fancy him, Plymouth have bid around £500,000.

However Rovers made an inquiry today and if Oldham sell before the deadline then they will have a decision to take.

Trotman is a bit like Samba and probably bigger and stronger than anything you have at the club bar the big chap.

He is a bit raw, but could be something pretty special.

 Y'know when you said young prospect and that 2 Championship teams were in for him... I had a really funny feeling it would be Trotman... then when you corrected me about Eardley saying Rovers have enquired about a Centreback not a Right-back... I sort of felt you was hinting at me that I knew the guy... Hull still not in for him then? I'd have thought so, because of the sale of Delaney, Collins being sh*t and Stephen Wright's move falling through.

When you told me about Hull's interest in him, I asked Oldham fans about him and they didn't seem to bothered about him leaving. They said he's got a raw talent, but is nowhere near there yet. Said he's very physical and strong on the ball (a bit like Micah Richards) but he's got quite bad discipline... i.e. get sent off quite a bit!

Assuming it is genuine and not the work of LW, I loved his statement that he is pleased he will get the No 8 shirt

"worn by great players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and Robbie Savage" !!

I doubt it's real. The latest update didn't look especially professional, and it was done by someone in Liverpool (the person's IP address is 86.162.192.240, and that is a Liverpool IP, according to this IP location tool). Never trust a Scouser :P

Edit: I do hope we're in for him, however, and I'd also love to see us sign Dembele/another midfielder. The midfield situation badly needs to be addressed, and I think that's more of a pressing issue than getting another centre half or striker.
