What is the likelihood?

It takes ONE fax and it happens. It can't be any more basic. If Galatasaray send the reply they said they would five days ago then it goes through.

The boy wants to come, the other teams have been seen off.

The Turks pulled a stunt yesterday...but they can keep a player who wants out and pay him £15,000-a-week if they want.

Quite probably not and we have to thankful for that. Get them in the door and then sneakily go out of Europe at an early stage.

Still wouldn't cover up the poor form and mistakes in defence though.

I think the problem is that there isn't a quality midfielder going in our price range.

Blackburn defences have always made stupid mistakes. However the midfield don't seem to be giving the defence any cover and certain players give away stupid free kicks or give the ball away in very dangerous areas.

That would always be a problem, however you would think that out of all the leagues in the world there would be a player that we were willing to take get in on loan. It's hardly a big risk and if they are no better than what we have got so be it, send them back.

Kevin Keegan has echoed the words of John Williams and said he does not expect any signings before the transfer window closes. So Newcastle have bought three teenagers for their not-yet-ready Academy during this window.

Could be tasty on Tyneside if Alves makes a scoring debut for Boro at St James's Park this week-end.

I don't think KK knows what's happening there...they bid for at least one player I know of today. And Giles Barnes wasn't his idea either. Allegedly.

I think the chairman is looking on the gloomy side - so that ANY signing would be greeted by street parties and open-top buses.

If there are no arrivals then it is a shocker. It would only confirm that the Trustees are not putting more money in - despite the noise coming from their fan club members - and that the running costs/debts are what have helped putting bidders off.

And, by the way, a loan transfer is a legitimate transfer.

Remember David Bentley?

Both Cole and the Argie winger will be permanent deals if things work out...so it's the same as Bentley...there's no problem with that tactic.

If Rovers sign a top player on loan tomorrow are you going to say they 'borrowed' a place in Europe?

My opinion, there is no way in hell Burnleh will make Cole a full time player, not gonna happen.

If there really is some halfwit who counts these things then he would not know a 'scoop' if it bit his ass. In fact I don't think he could even find that part of his anatomy in the dark.

The Times and The Guardian only follow-up stuff they read elsewhere.

Carrusca is paid £15,000-a-week at Gala. He would obviously not get that on loan at the Turf.

I doubt Barnes was his idea. I'd be suprised if Keegan knows who he is...

But what Chatburn fails to realize is that Nicko can't respond if you type in all caps. I mean he likes to quote and answer in caps to set his words apart. If you start in all caps, it doesn't work. Completely negates the point of typing (well that and most people ignore all caps crap anyways).
