nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Tottenham letting everyone go...Anthony Gardner to Everton on loan...replaces Alan Stubbs. Wigan signing Dan Hagen, big Norwegian centre half. That might mean Paul Scharner goes, but maybe too late. By the way, Reading turned down 'several bids' for Leroy Lita. Not sure you were among them.

Flopsy Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 We've sold Savage and brought in.... Bolton's sold Anelka and brought in Grzegzrz Raziak Thats just so they can get a good score in Scrable, surely?
Fife Rover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Me, I honestly think it will be good if they come up, the derby games and local competition will bring more people through the gates which we need. I'm not scared of them doing better than us, I would think we would get 6 easy points off them. Whats wrong with them coming up for a year and going back down Plus I have £20 on them getting promoted at 20/1 which were very good odds At last someone who can see the situation in it's true perspective. No need for tantrums and hysteria just because our greatest rivals are just possibly going to join us in the Prem next season. I say good luck to them and bring it on. Then we can really see who is top dog in East Lancs instead of just bragging about it like 10 year old's in the school playground. Perhaps they are afraid?
revolutionrock! Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Then we can really see who is top dog in East Lancs Perhaps they are afraid? Bit Obvious aint it? 5.0 2.0 2.1 Premiership-Championship One Cup and numerous Semi Final's
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Bit Obvious aint it? 5.0 2.0 2.1 Premiership-Championship One Cup and numerous Semi Final's Yes, but that was B.C.
den Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I dont for one minute think we'll go right through the evening without bringing someone in. I'd be very very dissapointed if we didnt add a midfielder to our squad. Sorry Ricky, but JW said earlier this afternoon that he expected NO transfer activity, either in, or out. There is nothing pending he said.
unleaded Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Do you remember Nicko this Cycle you predicted start of January .....Well it went all to plan apart from 1 club........Well done Mr Williams.....Keep the money in your pocket and go and sit in the corner on your hands. The magic roundabouts are these: Alves to Middlesbrough for £12 million...Downing to Tottenham for £10 million...Defoe to Portsmouth for £8 million...Taylor to Bolton for £4.5 million...McFadden To Birmingham..................Kapo to Wigan for £3 million...Koumas to Blackburn for £3 million...??
toetoe Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Wigan signing Dan Hagen, big Norwegian centre half. Is that Erik Hagen,Nicko?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I don't see why people are being so silly over Blackburn signing players. I get the feeling that people just want to see new faces in the squad no matter what their ability is. The better sounding foreign name, the better. Mark Hughes and John Williams have always said that they will only bring in players who will better the squad. They haven't taken any of the trialists on because they probably didn't think they would make the first team, even in the future. IF Rovers sign someone then i'm sure it will be because they will challenge for a first team position. IF Rovers don't sign anyone then so be it. We have a decent squad and i'm sure we'll have targets to improve the squad in the summer. Just remember people, we don't have stupid money to spend. We've got to spend wisely, any costly mistake will end up setting the club further back than the excellent position we find ourselves in at the moment.
Atomicrover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Eh ??? Before Coyle....don't encourage him
HATRIX Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Well done Mr Williams.....Keep the money in your pocket and go and sit in the corner on your hands.[/indent] no wonder we haven't bought anyone if mr williams can fit our transfer buget in his pocket
EwoodGlory Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I think he really means Before Christ (Coyle)
revolutionrock! Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Yes, but that was B.C. Good god. ASS LICKER/
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Is that Erik Hagen,Nicko? The one at Zenit...centre half.
DudeAbides Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 lol many tried and failed, what makes him think he would do any better ? i mean seriously what has this guy done to make nicko think he is like the second coming ?
toetoe Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The one at Zenit...centre half. Yeah, thats him. You're sure this is happening?
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Yeah, thats him. You're sure this is happening? Wigan agreed the deal an hour ago...sorry I took so long. He will be in tomorrow. It's a loan, so need for a medical. Quite shrewd signing.
Hasta Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Incase anyone missed it yesterday:- IMO out of the players that have moved this window most have been either too expensive or not good enough to make our first 11. We'll be ok. which is probably spot on. Williams isn't sitting on his hands, we just cant find anyone either who we can afford or who isnt overpriced who will improve our team. I'm sure that all of us, Hughes and Williams wished that wasn't the case but unfortunately it is. There's only so many times you can pick Bentley's, Samba's and Santa's up as cheaply as we have done. I'm not happy about it but there's no point blaming Williams and the board just cos we're frustrated. That's the reality of the situation we currently find ourselves in.
Lurid Coat Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The one at Zenit...centre half. Erik Hagen it is. He's normally decent when playing for Norway's national team, but is also known to make unneccessary blunders now and then. He also gets booked quite a lot. Still, a decent, strong man of war who likes to get stuck in and put tackles in.
revolutionrock! Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 done to make nicko think he is like the second coming ? There Bum Chums. I.E Us scots stick togethor.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Where would he play? Now if you want some light relief... Bolton's mystery Championship striker signing is Rasiak. I may get totally laughed at but I think that's a good signing for Bolton. I've seen Rasiak play quite a lot at Saints and although he is totally different to Anelka, the fact that he's not fast, skillful or entertaining to watch, he is however a goalscorer and will put away chances. At Saints he had a record of nearly 1 goal in every 2 games and he's scored goals for fun at all the clubs he's been to where he's had a decent run in the team. He might not look good but at the end of the day, people get judged on goals and not by sexy football.
Lurid Coat Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 There Bum Chums. I.E Us scots stick togethor. *They're *Together Also, care to stop harassing Nicko at every given opportunity?
