Mozzer Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 kewell's contract is up in the summer, hopefully we will show an interest in him.. nicko..this player who is a free agent..atleast tell us what position he is, and what age????
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Sorry but this is very old news - even ssn beat you on this - and if ssn go any slower they will go backwards. All right all right, just saw it in the background on SSN and hadn't seen it posted anywhere.

I think it's one of those rare occasions where the less said the better, but seriously don't get too excited about the prospect.
joey_big_nose Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Meaning players, Johnson, Utaka, Krancjaer and maybe Defoe. Good players, but they would have Brad, Nelsen, Warnock,(when his normal self), Samba, Bentley, Reid, Cruz and McCarthy off us. Swings and roundabouts for now.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The only question(s) I have of the mystery man are: Do we actually know who he is, and if we did are we more likely to cheer or cry?
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 The only question(s) I have of the mystery man are: Do we actually know who he is, and if we did are we more likely to cheer or cry? Just be patient - I know it's not easy - but Nelsen and Samba meant nothing before they arrived. Not saying one more face would make a difference, but you never know.
Hi Mack Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 nicko, sorry keegan has already text stroke boy! there best mates!
they_think_its_all_rover Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Spoken to one of Kewell's people...the words 'shocked and horrified' were used. When Duffen was asked he didn't deny it. And the deal was reported by 3 Hull Daily Mail readers comments at 7.30am this morning plus it was on the liverpool reds site at dinner. Duffen also said a midfielder would be in, if Livermore goes out... he's gone to Oldham on loan. Though I'll take your words over rumours, lol. Also, BBC Radio Humberside just reported that a deal for a Prem defender has fallen through... know who it was?
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 nicko, sorry keegan has already text stroke boy! there best mates! That Kevin, eh.
tony gale's mic Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 what a depressing transfer window. i'm not here to criticise john williams or mark hughes, but this has just shown the dearth of resources available at our disposal.
dj54nna Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 There IS genuine Chimbonda drama...Newcastle back in...and he can go on loan. But don't tell Stroke Boy. Why aren't we in for him? Mental wages?
disgruntled Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 There IS genuine Chimbonda drama...Newcastle back in...and he can go on loan. But don't tell Stroke Boy. Craig David / David Craig alluded to a Newcastle transfer but wasn't allowed to say anything.
USABlue Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I realise how boring and 'same-old, same-old' this thread is becoming ..... Couldn't agree more. :!: Me too, nicko and his McDingle lovefest is getting on my tits. Too much, too often, we love you nicko but you are treading a very thin line with me here. Wonder how you would be treated on the Dingles board if the situation was reversed. No doubt that Claret Tony would have banned you by now. I'll try to take a deep breath and let bygones be bygones mate but it won't be easy. Sorry I despise them. Must be a 70's thing plus being from Accy and all. BTW who is Randall??
disgruntled Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 The more you mention them the more Nicko does, can't you get that?
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Why aren't we in for him? Mental wages? Good question. He is 'only' on around £25,000-a-week. I think he would have been terrific. In fact, a 'great idea' as someone said about four hours ago...
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Wonder how you would be treated on the Dingles board if the situation was reversed. No doubt that Claret Tony would have banned you by now. I was thinking that earlier actually. Mind you, ClampitTony wouldn't know someone "in the know" if they bit him on the arse. EDIT: About the "great idea" You said you had a "great idea" earlier, but I doubt you were talking about us somehow.
USABlue Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 what a depressing transfer window. i'm not here to criticise john williams or mark hughes, but this has just shown the dearth of resources available at our disposal. Somebody needs criticised, this was as good of a time as any in recent memory to push the boat out. What do we only spend when we look like we are going down? Can't help but feel something more sinister is going on. Don't know why, just a gut feel.
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 The more you mention them the more Nicko does, can't you get that? No.
nicko Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 I was thinking that earlier actually. Mind you, ClampitTony wouldn't know someone "in the know" if they bit him on the arse. Let's get it straight...I've known the Coyle Man for 25 years...that's it. Delighted he has got a good job - yes, I said that - and showing what he's got. Plus. It is an absolute hoot to see the reactions here. I'll say it again. It would be terrific to have them in the Premier League.
Gav Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'll say it again. It would be terrific to have them in the Premier League. Ban him
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'll say it again. It would be terrific to have them in the Premier League. I actually agree. Might rekindle some old rivalry and they have to beat us sometime. I don't mind Coyle, he actually seems annoyingly likeable, but I was just expressing my views of ClampitsMad and its inhabitants.
EwoodGlory Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Think about it, would it not be more interesting if they came up for a year?

You must seriously, in the last couple of weeks, have followed up a Nicko post with a Burnley reference at least 30 or 40 times. Surely it would be easier if you just chilled out? As plenty of people have mentioned, it's only really a joke anyway and it is actually succeeding in actually winding a few people up (which is really pathetic of them). Randall is an Arsenal youngster. Very highly rated. Did fairly well against us.
