Manc Rover Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Manc - In that game the fans showed him the appreciation we have for his time with the club... he fully understands that and said that following the game. The rest of the time he is a rival - he left to become a rival and he is now a rival manager - therefore there is nothing wrong with it. Fans still appreciate him, he is still seen as a legend for the title - we just dont shown our emotion when it comes to rivalry. Yeah I buy that and you cant beat a bit of banter. It's just that some fans I speak to change their minds on Shearer just when it suits them and don't appreciate what he did for us.
