PLZ Blue Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Haha... that happens to be my local newspaper. This is a lower league setup (Conference equivalent). Nothing new in having South African teams named after those abroad. We have a Bloemfontein Celtic and an Ajax Cape Town as well.
Lurid Coat Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I wish I was a diehard fan of Kokstad Swallows or Northern Cape outfit Assmang United.

Ajax Cape Town is the Feeder club to Ajax Amsterdam....Steven Pienaar and Benni Mac played for Ajax Cape Town, before they were transferred to Holland.

joey_big_nose Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Two teams caught my eye: Everest Young Killers and FC Piercing Bullets!
cletus Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 One South African team have even named themselves after a Leeds-based indie pop band!
