i havent played the first one but keep hearing a lot about it,

i play Cod4 all the time is it on par with that ?

Get Ghost Recon.

Both are awesome. The second game is slightly more polished but much shorter than the first. There really is little to choose between them.

Both games are good but for me, Rainbow Six was a lot better than Ghost Recon. Better graphics, better weapons, better cover system, better multiplayer....

GRAW 2 left me cold, I can't recommend that one at all.

Both Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games are what I was referring to.

I would wait for Rainbow Six Vegas 2. First one was a classic and the new one is due out at the end of the month. I did not like the Ghost Recon Games, but I know plenty of people who did.

Rainbow 6 is easy to get into. Ghost Recon for me took a bit more getting into although there are loads of people that rate it. The best recommendation for the two is to download the demo's for both games.

As for the question about R6V and R6V2, I think you SHOULD play R6V first because the second one is going to be a kind of prequel that will fill in the gaps from the first one. You should be able to pick the first one up on the cheap now - and I would recommend it highly
