Hasta Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Mssrs ferguson, grant and fat rafa should all be on the phone to MH giving some advice on what to do at the Emirates. All will be praying for a Rovers miracle like our travelling fans. In that case lets hope that Sparky listens to the first two and ignores Fat Rafa. Otherwise Santa will be on the bench and Bentley will be subbed at half time.

Paul Mellelieu Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Guardian says Ooijer is injured. Anyone know?
Jordan Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Which pub are folk going to beforehand? Drayton Park
joey_big_nose Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Anyone have any news on Ooijer and Reid? With them fit we have a very slim chance, if they are not we might as well stay at home....
SouthAussieRover Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Stand to win a nice sum if Arsenal win 3-2. Wouldn't object if we won 1-0 though!
RoyRover Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Just as long as we don't get humiliated, I will be happy.
Nelsta Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Well 2 of the big 3 have already played.1 lost and 1 drew.....So i think the other will win. 3-0 Arsenal.
Manc Rover Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Heart ruling the head but I fancy a 1-1 with Bentley notching.
Ozz Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Anyone have any news on Ooijer and Reid? With them fit we have a very slim chance, if they are not we might as well stay at home.... The proper Rovers site says Ooijer and Reid likely to be fit, and Tugs and Axe available. Also mentions that the left hand side spot could be anyone out of Peter, Berner or Treacey!! JHC!!] Link-a-dink to Rovers.co.uk So midfield could be Peter-Reid-Tugs-Bentley, which also sounds like a dirty movie gone horribly wrong. Not that bad is is??

Not that bad is is?? In that case I would guess we will line up: -------------------Cruz Treacy------------------------------Bentley --------Reid-------------McCarthy -------------------Axe Warnock---Ooijer---Zurab---Emerton ------------------Freidal Subs:Brown, Berner, Tugay, Roberts, Derbyshire Which for my money is actually not too bad a side. There is an arugment for sticking Berner in there to keep things tighter but I would like to see Treacy given another chance.
b12_simon Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 So midfield could be Peter-Reid-Tugs-Bentley, which also sounds like a dirty movie gone horribly wrong. Yet another reason to be thankful we sold Dickov
MarkBRFC Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Looking forward to watching this in the pub later. Very tough game, to get anything here would be a bonus. I dont think we're gonna get the "tubbing" some people are expecting though. Arsenal 1 Rovers 0 i reckon
LeftWinger Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 So midfield could be Peter-Reid He couldn't keep up with Maradona in his prime - god help him for pace nowadays. Still quicker than Sonic at least
Presty On Tour Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 i just hope we score first to give us something to fight for. the first goal tonight is so important imo.
AndyC Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 a rovers mate of mine is skiing in Switzerland. Does anybody know what channel it will be showing on over there?
mattjansen Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 a rovers mate of mine is skiing in Switzerland. Does anybody know what channel it will be showing on over there? Dont know any swiss channels broadcasting it but there are a lot to choose from.Liveonsat
dj54nna Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Could well be any of these. http://liveonsat.com/foot_english_all.php We're going to get bummed. Hard, fast and dry. EDIT: Beaten to it.
den Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Team: Friedel, Emo, Kishi, Ooijer, Warnock, Bents, Tugay, Reid, Berner, McCarthy, Santa. Subs: Brown, Kane, Mokoena, Righters, Roberts, Kaka.
Ozz Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Senderos Flamini start for them. Eduardo and Adebayor up front
modes98 Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 The only thing i would change about that is to bring in Treacy or Peter for Berner. Does this mean Benni Mac replaces Derbs on the right or Bents moves out to RM with Benni at AM.
Ozz Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Nah, reckon (and hope) a straight 4-4-2 with Benni goal hanging whilst RSC does the donkey work, allowing Benni to tap a couple in. Leading to more of this...Benni Hates Arsenal
herbergeehh Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 We'll just have to wait and see, but I would think Bentley keeps his natural position and Benni Mac gets the free role. Or it's a straight 4-4-2, who knows? Treacy is injured by the way, that's why he is not included methinks. He withdrew from the u21 match.. The only good think I can say about their team is "Senderos" and "less frightening bench". Eduardo will score.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Friedel Emo, Kishi, Ooijer, Warnock Bents, Tugay, Reid, Berner McCarthy, Santa. Is what I thought it would look like.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Is Derbyshire injured, he should at least be on the bench.
