doctorryan Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Basturk4England is correct. UEFA Super Cup = 1 League Cup Semi-Finals = 2 FA Cup + 1 replay = 2 European Cup (CL) knockout round = 2 Charity Shield = 1 League home & away + a one-off for the Championship, a European place or relegation spot if both clubs are tied in points, goal differential and goals scored = 3 TOTAL = 11
AggyBlue Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 What is the maximum amount of times two Premiership teams can play each other in a normal season? There are 380 games in a Premiership season featuring two Premiership teams each match. Plus 19 FA cup ties and 19 League cup ties. Together with the Charity Shield giving a running total of 419 matches. Someone else can work out the European matches to add.

unsall Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 One for our refs out there,a player gets sent off at 0 0,then the manager makes a substitution, takes a forward off and then puts on the same guy who has just been sent off,and none of the officials spot him and 2 mins later scores a goal, and before they kick off again it dawns on the ref who it is,what should then happen....

jodrell Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 unsall got it. it is indeed good old Robbie Savage. TCO but how many reds has he had? I am sure he has had two red cards One for Wales and one for Rovers

Darth Paul Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 His red card for Rovers was a joke. IIRC it was against Boro at Ewood and the ref, having just booked him minutes earlier, gave him a second yellow for a meaningless handball in the centre circle, the intent of which was extremely questionable...I think the hand in question was behind him and the ball hit it, either way, the ref made the wrong decision.

Yeah I seem to remember Boateng smashed it at him from less than 10 yards and he couldn't get it out of the way. Kind of ironic that after all that time and all those bookings his first domestic red card was unjust. Best thing that came out of that was that Craig Bellamy played the game of his life to almost single-handedly win us the game. He showed total heart and proved what a really good player he is with that performance.
BuckyRover Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 (Apologies if this has been done already) Name the 8 teams that, since the inception of the Premiership, have won more league games than they have lost.
