Are you a fan of the show 'Lost'?

If so skip the next paragraph.

The game comes across as a launch title - fairly slow, disjointed gameplay and terrible collision detection. Repetetive puzzles are the order of the day, and it is a shame everything about it has been done by Uncharted so much better. Don't even get me started on the damn bats. However...

The graphics are good (Locke in particular is captured very well), and the story is considered 'canon'. You also get to enter the hatch and use the computer! Although very few characters are voiced by the actual actors (Desmond, and Ben the only prominent voices you will hear), some of the stand ins used are passable. The game plays like the show, with cliffhangers, and the familiar title scene and even 'previously on Lost' introductions.

If you are a fan of lost, you will still have read the first paragraph, but you can ignore it as you will forgive the shortcomings as the extra depth it adds to the Lost universe makes it worthwhile. If you aren't a fan, avoid it - simple as.

Thanks Mate. I am a big LOST fan so will probably end up renting this game, heard that it is pretty short and can be completed in 5/6 hours.

I've being playing this since last Friday, i can kinda agree and disagree with the comments that its a short game. Although i dont really think you'd be fully completing it with all the achievements(850 in total) if you hammered it in a few hours. I mean whats the point of rushing a game anyway? i've just been taking my times with it and taking in all the wicked sets and stuff from the series and picking up all the items and special tasks.

This is a big problem with most 360 games, they are just too short. But how many casual gamers do you hear saying this? then you look at the gamerscores and they have completed COD4 and Gears of war on casual and got 40g for it, missing all the good shots etc..for me the visuals are too good to want to rush it.

I really love it and i'll probably go back a few levels just to give it the full attention it deserves. Specially love the cave parts, the bats just freak me out, come flying out of nowhere.

Although i agree that this is NOT for non-lost fans.

I hired it last night. Not very impressed with it, maybe because I am really rubbish at this type of game and got stuck on Episode 2 when you have to go into the Cave in order to get to the Cockpit and kept getting killed by the Black Smoke thing. In the end I just gave up as it was really frustrating having to start the level again and again.

There actually a game for it... jesus the program is awful

Not if you have been following it from the start, it is actually very interesting and picking up in intensity as it comes towards the end.

the game doesn't look up to much though.

I love Lost the show and the game. It remains the only TV show that has gripping entertainment and a wicked literary conscience( references to Dostoyevsky, Phillip K Dick's 'Valis' and loads more cheeky nods if you look)

Where is the Pearl? havent managed to find it. Do you know which level its on?

Spoiler:

After being chased by the monster, Juliet lets you through the fence. Go to the right along the fence and you will come to a capsule. Picking up the capsule will inexplicably transport Elliott to the Pearl station.
