Fife Rover Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Sorry for the lateness of the article. Just after I had sent it to Den my internet collapsed and has just got back now, C'mon Fulham! ffan: You've been one of us for long enough to know by now that this game is one that Rovers must win, and should win comfortably. You also know by now these are the very games we dont win. So I aint going to predict a Rovers loss, but if I were you I would not abandon all hope; far from it!
colin Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Fulham away Played 13 Won 0 Drawn 5 Lost 8 I'm a Rovers' supporter. I'll just very gently bang my head on the nearest hard surface.
Rovers in America Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 This game is being shown live on Fox Soccer Channel which is nice. Don't have to wake up just watch it online and hope my internet doesn't decide to be difficult with video.
ace Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Fulham away Played 13 Won 0 Drawn 5 Lost 8 I'm a Rovers' supporter. I'll just very gently bang my head on the nearest hard surface. Think I saw somewhere that Fulham haven't won in the Prem away from home for THIRTY matches.....headache time again!!
Flopsy Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Oh god, someone put me down, I thought exactly the same as Flopsy. You wait till you see the beard
Ozz Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Dunn a doubt again. Could see us winning 3 or 4 nil to be honest. The lads look like they are enjoying the bit of luck in the the last two games, and has given the team a new confidence I think.
tchocky Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Guess who the ref is. My guess is Mike Riley. Ha! That was well easy. Fulham last won at Ewood Park in May 2005 – The Cottagers have won just twice on the road since. Would be a shame if we were to be responsible for 50% of their away wins in nearly 3 years.
pksrover Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Managed to miss out on going to Ewood two weeks ago when we beat Bolton, too much alcohol the night before combined with rubbish trains from Chester. Not going to make the same mistake again this weekend, limited amount of alcohol and staying in Manchester tonight. Since Dunn is still out I reckon Tugay might be given a chance to orchester a third succesive win for Rovers, with Zurab settling for a place on the bench, Emerton as right back and Bentley moving out right to give their left back a torrid time. I think Benni Mac will continue to partner Roque up front, since with Fulham likely to defend deep there will be no space for Derbs and Roberts to run into. Therefore the skills and Benni trickery will hopefully come good. Friedel - Emerton, Ooijer, Samba, Warnock - Bentley, Tugay, Reid, Gamst - Benni Mac, Roque. Rovers 6 - 0 Fulham Roque 7 Benni 47, 62, 65 (pen) Gamst 83 Reid 88 My 'a tad' optimistic predictions are back. Come on the Rovers!
Presty On Tour Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 i agree with the team selection pks and a 6-0 scoreline could be on the cards the way fulham have been playing. i'm quite glad fulham are taking some numbers up on free coaches, they can go back to london and tell everyone how good we are
1864roverite Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 A plus side on the Fulham perspective is that they HAVE to go for a win as they are 6 points adrift of Bolton and Reading. A draw is not good for them so I dont see an ultra defensive formation for them.
roversmum Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Fear not. The God that is Roque is due another hat-trick. Rovers 4 (Roque, Roque, Gamst, Roque) Foolham 2 (That Brian Dude, and Mike Riley)
adopted scouser Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Got my tickets today. Me and titch Jack Walker upper, her first game and she needs a good view.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Guess who the ref is. second time I've had to put up with him in a week! Let's hope he's improved since Tuesday! Saying that, the commentators on Tuesday night were saying it's more of a Mr."I'm a Prem ref!" in the Championship... saying most prem ref's reffing in a lower league game like to throw their authority about a little too much to show them "who's boss".
grizfoot Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 We should win this one comfortably, never can be quite sure when Rovers are up against a team who's hasn't won away for ages. Rovers 3-1 Fulham Bentley 17 - Dempsey 37 McCarthy 82 Derbyshire 89.
Mr. E Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 don't want to sound cocky...but I feel we may get our biggest win of the season tomorrow.
thenodrog Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 don't want to sound cocky...but I feel we may get our biggest win of the season tomorrow. Certainly sounds cocky to me....... ........ and dangerous!
Nelsta Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 One of those games this, we should bag a few goals, but then there's the Hodgson factor and knowing Rovers ability to loose games they should win this could turn into a bad day. 1 - 1
den Posted March 8, 2008 Author Posted March 8, 2008 The official Fulham rail transport cancelled this morning. Leaving by coach at 10am might mean them arriving late?
brfc4ever Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Its NOT going to be a bad day. I'm sure the lads are well up for this, and will bury Foolham. No doubt. Blackburn Rovers 4 - Foolham 0 Benni Bentley Santa Samba Happy days !
AggyBlue Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I'm looking forward to this game, should be end to end and very entertaining. I don't think Fulham are as bad as some imagine and as long as there no blunders at the back we should be able to see 'em off.
Tony Diamond Inc Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Uh oh, too much confidence on here. Let's not forget Rovers' penchant for allowing teams to end miserable runs!!!
Nelsta Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Uh oh, too much confidence on here. Let's not forget Rovers' penchant for allowing teams to end miserable runs!!! And to top it off i just pulled this stat from bbc sports website "The Cottagers are on the longest winless run away from home in the Premier League of 30 matches" 3 points for Fulham.
thecomebackid Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 The official Fulham rail transport cancelled this morning. Leaving by coach at 10am might mean them arriving late? Read it as an omen. I'm sure Fulham will. The wheels are literally falling off Fulham's season. Shame, since they appear to have reserved a relegation slot that the Geordies AND the Trotters' might have occupied
