Mike Graham Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 at the valley a few seasons ago, it was our last away game and we took loads of inflatables. we won 2-0 too, reid and bellamy scored i think. the next game at ewood we beat chelsea 1-0 and qualified for europe as for birmingham, a suggestion would be to dress up as dildo's or something along the porno theme but then we would just look like a bunch of pricks I have some blow up giant k##b balloons suitable for adult parties...i'll bring these; they are both white and black skin colour !!
roversmum Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Are you going to wave them about yourself? We're going to this one - was going to wear all blue and white then remembered we'll be in the away kit........
Hannah Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Probably my favorite fixture of the season although it is nothing to do with the team we are playing! I like the fact that it is 15 minutes away - my equivalent of a home game. Bring it on!!!
Hughesy Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Il be going if there is still a good chance if Birmingham can go down. If there is then il take a big banner saying "BIG clubs going down AGAIN"
allrovertheworld Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I have some blow up giant k##b balloons suitable for adult parties...i'll bring these; they are both white and black skin colour !! Ha ha we are so multicultural on here...which is a good thing. I'll be at this one..shame to say it but only my 2nd away game this year. Wigan being the other when I had flu and we got battered. Hope this trip is a bit more fun. Might even treat myself to a ride on a Virgin (train) for this game.
pksrover Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Tickets are £35!! Does it never end? I was actually considering going, but no chance of me paying Big Club Porn Stars £35 to watch them getting trashed by Rovers and then relegated... er...hang on, that might actually be worth £35 But don't think I can afford it, along with that I've got 4 exams to revise for..happy days!
blue phil Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Tickets are £35!! Does it never end? ......and £18 for juniors . One good reason I'll be praying for them to get relegated .
modes98 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 ......and £18 for juniors . One good reason I'll be praying for them to get relegated . and NUS card holders under 22.
daveoftherovers Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 If they are still in the mire, why don't we all go in cloaks with sickles, that would look impressive...
Fife Rover Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 i'm not sure there are many rovers fans left alive who might be able to reliably inform us of how any crompton songs went!!!! Maybe a song commenting on his tash........something to the chuckle brothers tune might work. I can reliably inform you that mass singing at football matches was not "invented" until some time in the '60s.
bazza Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I can reliably inform you that mass singing at football matches was not "invented" until some time in the '60s. We used to chant, though. Two Four Six Eight; who do we appreciate? R..O..V..E..R..S ROVERS The chant was always quickened up at R..O..V..E..R..S You could always tell the Rovers' chant from outside any ground by this speeding up. Oh happy days
Ozz Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Tickets arrived yesterday...bloody robbing Brummie gets...£35...hope we bloody murder em and send em back down to the Championship where they bloody belong. Looking forward to it!!!
andrew92 Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 i was well pis... annoyed when i found out that my brother at 20 who has a NUS card had to pay about £20 or less for a ticket, and me at 16 had to pay £35!, whats with the silly scheme?
Hughesy Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Il decide after this weekend if im going. Depends how likely Brum are to go down. If there is a good chance then im there. BYE BYE BIG CLUB
OJRovers Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I got 4 tickets today. £35+2 each is a big steep, but will be worth it if we win and send them down!!!
b12_simon Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 6 tickets arrived this week. Pre-match pub for me is the Old Moseley Arms. A ~30min walk from the ground, a shorter walk from my house.
Hughesy Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Il be there now. Come on Rovers, secure Intertoto and send down BIG CLUB. Il decide after this weekend if im going. Depends how likely Brum are to go down. If there is a good chance then im there. BYE BYE BIG CLUB
Hasta Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Anyone know how much it is by train and how far St Andrews is to walk from the main station. I might go now. I've always wanted to watch Karen Brady go down.
philipl Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 McLeish talking about the last game. Concerned about having Reid at right back- he could snap under the pressure. Looks like there will be space for the midfield and forwards to exploit but we will have to be clinical and a bit less of this J Rob 4 goals in 28 appearances type of finishing.
b12_simon Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Anyone know how much it is by train and how far St Andrews is to walk from the main station. I might go now. I've always wanted to watch Karen Brady go down. It's about half and hour's walk from New St, with some good pubs (Anchor on Bradford St and Old Crown on Digbeth High St) on the way.
philipl Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 It's about half and hour's walk from New St, with some good pubs (Anchor on Bradford St and Old Crown on Digbeth High St) on the way. That will be one scary walk in Rovers colours next Sunday and as for the return if we have won....
Martyn Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Anyone know how much it is by train and how far St Andrews is to walk from the main station. About 20 mins - directions here. I'd say it's not a good idea to wear colours either unless you're going by coach.
Blackpool_Rover Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 That will be one scary walk in Rovers colours next Sunday and as for the return if we have won.... I remember having one very scary walk alone back to new street after we won 4-0 there a few seasons ago. Definately cover up...
