Not only do we need the 3 points to have chance of getting into europe but with the premierleague announched the difference between each place is £725,000. with us potenitally finishing between 6th and 9th that is a 2.25 million drop if we dont perform on sunday

Ludicrous Lawro:

all the relegation-threatened teams, Birmingham are the only side playing at home and that has been underestimated.

I think Birmingham will beat Blackburn in what will be arguably their most important game since they were promoted.

Blackburn are not a team to lie down, they have good players and a good manager.

But Birmingham know they need to win to give themselves a chance of staying up - and the crowd will push them over the line for me.

By virtue of Reading's and Fulham's goal difference, I think Birmingham will stay up.

Match preview

Verdict: 2-0

Forget the forecast of the win against Rovers and concentrate on the last line.

Brum are on 32 points, Reading and Fulham are on 33pts so if Brum win and go to 35 pts IT CANNOT GO DOWN TO GOAL DIFFERENCE with either Reading or Fulham!

And these are the exspurts the BBC MoTD are so proud of!

Getting a bit nervous about Sunday now.

Speaking to West Ham fans in the office and they are well up for their game against Villa.

Villa are going to be in for a very tough game. Plus West Ham and Spurs fans despise each other, therefore want to finish above each other in the table.

I can't belive football has come to this we are celebrating a very successful season, have what many consider to be the best squad ever and we enter the last game of the season with a great prize on the line .... entry into the intertoto cup.

Welcome to the land of milk and honey... or should that be just money. I'm happy with the quality of football I've seen this season I only wish the league wasn't so dam predicatble and the sporting rewards for an excellant season weren't so low.

Still I'll be listening to W/ham on the radio at our last game just like its 1995 all over again!!!! 1-0 Rovers

One of the porn baron's (Sullivan I think) take on the game -

"Can we beat Blackburn? Yes we can beat Blackburn, they aren't Arsenal or Chelsea."

Fulham, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Everton and Wigan aren't Arsenal or Chelsea either - but they've failed to beat any of them in their last 5 matches.

In fact they didn't even manage a shot on target in a vital relegation 6 pointer last time out against Fulham.

But then again they are a big club and deserve to be in the top flight.

Just been on BIG CLUB'S website, they are now flogging tickets at £7.50. Relegation decider, yet a Premier League club from the second largest city in the UK can't sell 28000 tickets. No more questions your honour

Should've just said "We haven't got a chance, relegation is a certainty"

Anyway, important game to us whether Villa win or not;

Highest achievable: 6th (Merit payment: £10.8 million)

Lowest could fall: 9th (£8.64 million)

£2.2m is quite a lot of money.
