Shevchenko Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 We're determined to make it difficult for ourselves aren't we? Let them in on goal, Samba bringing Heskey down, penalty and sent off. Great.

tcj_jones Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 For Christ's sake, I haven't seen the incident, but hear that Samba was sent off for pulling back Heskey as the last man? He MUST have known he'd be sent off for that. He's probably just lost us the game. Why do we give so many damned penalties away?!
RibbleValleyRover Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Last man ref had no choice Another example of us gifting the opposition a way back into the game.
BuckyRover Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Maybe if he'd turned his back to the ref and told him to "f**k off" he might have only got a yellow.
Nate Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 No way it was a sending off. Heskey went down quicker than a 2 bob hooker.
BRFC1995 Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 season counts for f-all can we please lose 6-4 or somthing and throw mccarthy on, and not just settle for losing 2-1 as now seems inevitable! Seeing as the game is to all intents and purposes meaningless i'd be slightly less p1ssed off if newcastle were not winning and wigan getting 3pts counted for more! 7 games left time to throw that youngster from ireland into the defence! f-ing refs killing the game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Esulx Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I really dont care if I get castigated by other fans on here but a very large number of errors resulting in goals against this year have come from Samba. If the reports of a bust up during half-time against Wham are anything to go by, I'm not the only one that's getting ticked off by it. Something needs to be done about his attitude and if that involves dropping him then so be it.
Brainfreeze Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 What frequency/radio station are you guys listening to the game on? I can't find it!!!
Tango Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Very minimal contact and not sure Samba does much more than tap Heskey on the back but from Mike Dean's position I can't see that he has a choice. Going to be difficult from here on in.
Rovers in America Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Yeah, Samba's red card is one that is going to be given 99% of the time given the area it happened and circumstances. Hard to argue it despite what may have been minimal contact. So far we haven't looked outmatched at 10 men, hopefully that can continue.
Nate Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Good. Some Wigan ###### has hurt his knee. Cheerio, fat boy.
farhanology Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I do not care if im castigated, Samba should be on the bench based on his form. Time to bring on Mokoena as CB or plug him in as DM fast to protect the back four (three?). Don't really care if he has a rift with Hughes, but we need someone that does his job reliably, even without offering extra attacking nous. Mokoena is dire in an attacking sense. but defensively he does his job. 2-1! time to bring in the Axe at half time please.
tony gale's mic Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 We're dominating this even with 10 men, Bentley has looked excellent. Still at this stage of the season its points not performances that count...
Rovers in America Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I agree, Samba is in need of a dropping. It seems he thinks he can do no wrong or something and needs to be brought back to reality. His errors have cost us 2 goals in the last game and a half of play and loads more over the last few games.
G Somerset Rover Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Hughes will never drop Samba. I bet that if Khiz and Ooijer have 3 cracking games whilst Samba is out that when he or Nelsen returns they will waltz straight back into the first 11. Edit: 2-1 get in! Lets go out this second half and take it to them again.
Brainfreeze Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 YEAHHHH!!! Roberts 2-1! Still can't find this game on the radio - help?!
tucker Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Lets hope we start the second half like we finished the first and not sit back and invite pressure
krislu Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Once again Samba has made a fool of himself! Luckily we are still playing well and in the lead. In my opinion its a bloody good thing that Samba won't feature in the next game...
