Alan75 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Although Easter has come early this year and with just eight games left, it’s still been a long old season as far as I’m concerned. After a promising start, we were out of all competitions by the turn of the year and recent performances haven’t instilled any confidence in qualifying for a European campaign next season. If Rovers are to rescue the season, they will need to treat all of their remaining games as cup finals, starting at Ewood tomorrow against Wigan, before the remaining fixtures at Ewood against Spurs, Manchester United, Derby and away games against Reading, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Birmingham. There is, barring any more injuries / suspensions, sufficient talent in the squad, with exception of the Man U game to collect maximum points, from the remaining fixtures; however are the players up for it. We as supporters can only hope that they are prepared to shed blood and sweat in an effort to save the season and give us, the supporters, something to shout about. Lets finish the season with a bang, starting tomorrow against Wigan. Click here for Wigan Preview.
