RevidgeBlue Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I would think he'd be on far more money as a number two at Chelsea, than a number two at Ewood. Scolari might see him as surplus to requirements.

gumboots Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 You mean that Brad, who's already given his support to the appointment of Ince, might fancy a move, and Ince, who has said "I'll look forward to talking to Brad. He'll be able to tell me about the club and players etc" has decided within 2 or 3 days of his appointment that they didn't mean a word they said and they've already decided to part company. Give me a break.

RevidgeBlue Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 You're clutching at straws a bit now in your continuing efforts to diss Ince Gordon............. Even IF there was any real possibility of Friedel moving, and I'd say it would be extremely remote, if it was Hughes or Allardyce you'd be commending them for filling the position with an able deputy before it was vacant!
blue phil Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 Well until I see Brad popped up in a wine bar slurring that he wants a move I won't believe it .....
1864roverite Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 In the words of a famous song from decades ago Gordon is a moron, Gordon is a moron. Do you honestly believe your own words that Brad is seeking a move after what he said towards the end of last season ?
Dunnfc Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Love to see us go for Valon Behrami if Bentley goes and bring that young Irish kid Sean Scanell in from Crystal Palace, also love to see Ivan Klasnic come in on a free.

Do you honestly believe your own words that Brad is seeking a move after what he said towards the end of last season ? I heard a great song the other day with a chorus of '1864roverite is a gobshyte, 1864roverite is a gobshyte'. I've ordered the LP. btw I didn't write the report that suggested AV want Freidal did I? I'm only commentating on the possible situation. Things change daily this summer and since it was revealed that MoN was interested in Freidal (.... and since i made the above post that appears to offend your sensibilities so much) it is now being reported that a mate of his is after buying the club! However I've a feeling that a lot of people on here could live to remember this summer as a watershed in the fortunes of BRFC.
Eddie Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 If this does happen and Freidal leaves for a million or so, and after Hughes and Bowen and Niedswicki to City for 5m and being replaced by the cheap option in Ince and Mathias, (and know possibly Knox?) and Bents and RSC reputedly in the shop window could it be that BRFC are intent on cashing in as many chips in as possible?...... and for whatever reason. This could be like selling house and then just before moving out taking all the light bulbs and digging up the plants from the garden. FriedEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEl
frosty Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Who is Behrami?! Has he been linked with us? A Lazio winger, not been linked with us. He has been linked with Spurs though and Man City.
Hughesy Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Well the transfer window re-opens tomorrow, clubs are starting to return for pre-season and the Euros have gone. The next 6 weeks or so will be very interesting.
Hi Mack Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Well the transfer window re-opens tomorrow, clubs are starting to return for pre-season and the Euros have gone. The next 6 weeks or so will be very interesting. Be very dissapointed if we dont make at least 4 or 5 signings tomorrow!
rover6 Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Does it really? I've just had a spontaneous idea - I'm going to go on a transfer window sabbatical and deny myself this messageboard for six weeks. Have a nice transfer window everyone.

bats Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 I hope this doesn't come true! http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=187106
S15 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 A £5m transfer for a 30 year old Championship player. After three years of signing Bellamy for £3.75m, McCarthy for £2.25m and Santa Cruz for £3.1m, the mind boggles that these sites can sit and write this stuff.
Guest Kamy100 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Paul Ince is interviewed today in the Lancashire Telepgraph, he says that everyone in the current squad is going to get a chance and that he expects to sign 2 players before the transfer window shuts in August.
modes98 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 It is likely that Bradley is one. IMO we would still need another CM/AM and a RB.
Hughesy Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 New Blackburn manager Paul Ince is ready to battle Wigan boss Steve Bruce for the signing of £1.5m-rated defender Fredrik Stoor from Rosenborg. (Daily Star)

I find that a bit depressing TBH. The squad has been in need of revitalising for at least a couple of seasons, IMO. To get away from the horrible home form, it will take more than two players. Bet there's not another Prem club planning on bringing ONLY two new players into their squad.
