Are you the Setanta reporter? Oh well thats fine - dont really think he looked anything special and he obviously hasnt impressed this season either.

Know anything about there?

Blackburn want to sign Liverpool reserve midfielder Astrit Adjarevic. (Daily Mirror)

Rovers manager Paul Ince is also targeting 21-year-old Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Al-Muhammadi. (Daily Mirror)

I told you about him a few days ago. He's an option for the right wing. Rovers are still waiting for an answer from his club before taking him on trial.

I was wondering the same thing but then found out Ajdarevic played for the reserves last night so how and when that happened I don't know! Looks as though we have snapped up another youngster from one of the big clubs. Anyone know anything about him?

Is it possible for a player to be classed as a 'journeyman' at Youth Level? :P

IF it's the guy I'm thinking of, think he's Swedish, a left-sided midfielder, who went to Liverpool from Leeds and played in their U16/Youth Cup team. He's one of many at Liverpool who's been told he can find another club, and given Whitbread & Brunskill's (and Ince's) links with Liverpool we'll be linked with a few of their cast-offs, such as Eccleston etc.

Liverpool have an abundance of 'international' aka 'long-haired, flairy, Johnny Foreigner' types throughout their Youth/reserves. Rumours of their team bus arriving at Brockhall with only one-english speaking player on it have done the rounds a few times :D

And if he was speaking Scouse then it would be no English speaking players

So is he a right back or a winger??

I keep reading halve and halve, I've seen his Utube clips and he looks like he can play. Is it 2 in 6 for him at the moment? We'll have to see if he impresses on his trial.

IMscouting seems to have hit the road running, I'm still curious as to how all the info is put together? Annan was meant to be a future world beater that doesn't seem to have happened. Although I agree with them about the Hoffeinhiam player he does look impressive.

But isn't this a sad reflection on Rovers' previous youth and reserve policy.....slowly bringing his own youth team with him

Yes, but we've known that the Academy at Rovers hasn't been producing the goods for a while. For a club our size that's unacceptable, especially considering how much money we pump into the Academy. If this new guy starts producing youth players I really don't care how he does it.

On reading that article, my first thought was it was a poor plug for IM Scouting, which would be a site backlinked to stats from Championship Manager.

However, on looking at the site the big clue is in the bottom right corner - Pina Zihavi, 'super agent'. Would it be beyond the realms of possibility to think this may be coincidental, perhaps he's an interest in every player on there? A cynic would suggest it seems to contradict the objectivity of the data?

May be worth checking Corrado Grabbi, see what it says about him - that is, if he's still in the game and not a goatherder in Ternana. I just hope he didn't pass his skills/influence/talent onto Grella during his time there.

Michael Kightly needs to be the first signing in the next window. I know he signed a recent extension and may cost £6-7m, but this is the player we need for the right sided problem (not detracting from Emu's current efforts). If we could shift maybe Roberts and/or Fowler, then bring in another striker with more promise.. maybe restoke the inteset on Olić?

Interesting to read some of the posted information on here, about this Egyptian on trial with us - isn't he a RB?

He said he wants to get Wolves into premiership so I can't see him moving whilst Wolves are in contention for promotion.

£7m+ is a big ask for someone like Knightly who is completely unproven at the top level. £5m would be a fair price, anything more then its a risk.

Realistic it might not be but i'd like to see Ince go and get Joey Barton for the centre of midfield baggage he may have but he'd certainly add some extra to our mediocre midfield.

God no! He is the last player I'd want to see in a blue and white shirt.

Champ manager what a shock, I saw the Zahivi part and instantly thought the same, perhaps a way of advertising his clients with the same cynicism attached. It would not surprise me at all to discover that there is not one player who is not on his books.

I remember saying this at the time when he was linked during the summer. One could never doubt his potential nor ability and I always felt Jail would sobber him up, there is no way he will think he's hard now. At the end of the day the boy can play and play well. Had we not signing the Gorilla to patrol in front of our defence I would not have been adverse to the idea of Barton although many would have been.

Do you mean the Barton who has been done for assault several times, who got sent off, or should have done (I forget) after coming on as a sub in one of Keegan's last games, the guy who thinks he's a role model already despite not even earning any respect for changing his behaviour?

He is scum, he'll end up getting sent off 100 times, and I'd rather buy a season ticket to Turf Moor than see that waste of space in our shirt. This just proves that you are quite mad.

Although I would not want him at the club for his off field behaviour (i think he is a coward), I also would not want him at the club for footballing reasons. He is an average player and I don't think he is better than Steven Reid was when he had that fantastic season. Poor passer, clumsey in the tackle ( even more so than Sav) no real end product from this guy.

I would rather invest in someone like Kightley at Wolves. He is exciting.

I've always thought that Joey Barton had the potential to be the next Steven Gerrard or Frank Lampard. His technical ability is second to none, and he has controlled the tempo of many big games. I wouldn't be surprised if the Big Four looked at him if he managed to straighten himself out. This guy is an amazing talent.

Sadly, the only problem is that poor Joey has had a torrid personal life, but it isn't his fault. He's suffered from a broken home and family members who have let him down, time and time again. We should be helping this guy recover from his off-field issues, not look to ostracise him from the game at the first opportunity. No matter how many mistakes this guy will make, he's far too good as a footballer and misunderstood as a man to push away.

SO COME ROVERS. SIGN THIS LEGEND IMMEDIATELY!!

Gotcha!

JAL departs in a straightjacket!

I wouldn't be surprised if the Police don't have a quiet word with JFK. He got pelted with coins and a bottle at Sunderland and knowing how bitter and twisted the Blackburn public can get, I would imagine if Barton was sent out to warm up towards the Blackburn End, he would never make it back to the bench.

Simply having Barton warm-up on the touchline is an invitation for public order offences.

The best thing that could happen to Barton is the guy gets sold to a non-UK club.
