QOTSA Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 To clarify - Mputu's a goer but he has to sort out a visa before coming over for a trial. Ince expected to see him this week but he is now due to be here on the Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 His record is good. And being called better than Etoo is pleasing. Although Annan was supposed to be the next Essien as well. Lets get him over and see what he can do.
Fraserkirky Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 If we sign this boy mputu. Who are we selling? After PI coming out again with the "leave us alone, santa is happy" interview, think he would look a total fool if we sold him in Jan. The obvious departure would be benni, as roberts has just signed a new deal, and derbs aint going anywhere! How much is benni worth to the club? 5million? Still think we should sign Appiah on FREE!, and a decent right mid (hopefully kightly).
Sparky Marky Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Looks to me that Ince is looking for Roque's replacement.
T4E Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 ...............or we're not scoring enough goals and he's seen the need to do something about it?
Hughesy Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Maybe allow Fowler to go? Then possibly Derbsyhire out on loan to get some experience - so therefore free-ing up the space for 1 more attacker?
roverfanuk Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Looks to me that Ince is looking for Roque's replacement. Or he is looking for Fowlers replacement! The 3 months are nearly up surely!
Laurence Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Looks to me that Ince is looking for Roque's replacement. Or Benni's...?
dopper69 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Lets get rid of Derbyshire and Fowler and sign a decent up and coming power house of a centre forward.
Amo Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 If Derbyshire has to go out on loan, then I hope it's to a Premiership side. He needs regular top-level experience if he wants to prove himself.
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Dingles losing 2-0 to Wolves, Kightly with both goals. I can see there being a lot of interest in Kightly come January. I know he has gone on record and says he wants to stay and get Wolves into the prem, but it will be interesting to see if he can resist the money. Sort of player i would love to see us making a move for, though i fear bigger clubs with bigger resources will be sniffing around.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I have a real suspicion we will go for Kightly, but he won't move until Summer. Hopefully Wolves don't go up, because if they do, he'll stay.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I feel Hughes missed the chance to sign kightly by buggaring off to City when he was available. He won't move now, especially in today's circumstances.
BRFC1995 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 was kightley ever rumoured other than on this messageboard to us and and i'm fairly sure we'd never pay the fee wolves would want for someone unproven in the premier league. All the birmingham players look world beaters in the championship.........utter garbage in the big league, i can accept a million pound gamble on andrews but stupid premier league clubs like fulham paying £6.5m for kamara have sent valuations soaring for championship players. Wolves on that basis without the player having a clause would want £7m+ and we'd never bite at that!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 I'm sure Ince has hinted he'd like him before and there were several papers floating around. I'd agree that he would be a gamble and we probably won't spend that much on any single player, but he is one of, if not the best player in the Championship at the moment.
dingles staying down 4ever Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Its Sunday again so let the rumours and recirclated stories begin:- http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/6513...O-TO-ANDRE.html
dingles staying down 4ever Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Taken from www.football-rumours.co.uk 'Blackburn will give trials to Christian Benitez, Kevin Prince Boetang, Evander Sno and Pablo Garcia (real madrid). Ajax, Bolton, Fulham, Wolfsburg and Napoli are eyeing up Blackburns Johann Vogel, who has been told he can leave ewood park West ham will sell green to arsenal with cudicini coming in from chelsea, also hammers fans, expect bids for parker from blackburn/everton, also spurs, newcastle and bolton are looking at carlton cole as a target man, west ham will also unload several squad players on loan or permanant deals. A takeover of the east london side is on the cards, south african consortium in the frame, The Mole.' '
Hughesy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 If we could keep Parker fit then he would be a very good signing. Boetang also isnt bad. Where do Sno & Garcia normally play?
BRFC1995 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 How much money per game have dunn and reid cost us with their not insignificant wages. There is a snowballs chance in hell that we'll sign scott"permanantly injured" parker......absolute garbage we'll be linked with keiron dyer, darren anderton and jamie redknapp next.
gazsimm Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 If Derbyshire has to go out on loan, then I hope it's to a Premiership side. He needs regular top-level experience if he wants to prove himself. Derbyshire is not good enough, he is to week and has no confidence at all, i think Ince should recall Gally back from Plymouth at least he has confidence and has the ability to go pass a defender, which sadly Derbyshire does not.
ABBEY Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 gaz how times has derbs played in his natural position?
Hughesy Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Forget his position. How many one on ones/ golden chances has he missed when given them!! Another Gallagher, think he is better than he is.
Bennisfromheaven Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 If we could keep Parker fit then he would be a very good signing. Boetang also isnt bad. Where do Sno & Garcia normally play? Think they are both defensive midfielders, which sounds a bit wierd to me considering we need to strengthen other positions asap!
alexanders Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Christian Benitez is a striker from Ecuador. Voted mvp in Primera Division de Mexico in 2008. More facts about him here: Wiki Benitez
