Just to clear up any confusion...

The Macc kid is called Blackman and has been training at Rovers on and off for a couple of months. I don't know if they have decided whether he is good enough or not. He was with Man U as a youngster so he can't be a dud.

MK Dons keeper Willy Gueret is telling people he is joining in January. Almost identical to the info about Andrews from last summer.

Yossi Benayoun is a fine player but he is paid around around £70,000-a-week. I suspect that is a non-runner.

Jermaine Pennant thinks he is a free in the summer, Liverpool believe they have a one-year option on top. I don't see him being in a rush to move in January.

As for the many trialists coming in shortly, worth a look as long as they are studied closely.

I saw Castillo playing for Everton reserves last night and it is no wonder Rovers said no to him in a hurry. As one manager said to me last night 'maybe they have sent his brother.'

An impressive bunch- Particularly Abd-Rabbo. Any true wingers?

How much does Mputu want if he cannot get the Qataris to divvy up for him???

Correct Bucky, he should be praised for leaving him alone.

We have missed out on paying £5m for Castillo and Pennant on 50k a week. To me that is good news!

Nicko any news on any of our other targets? Right wingers/ strikers/ midfielders? Non-trialist quality ideally.

How many people described him as an Ince mistake?

I don't remember seeing many retractions

Did Paul Ince even see him when he was at Brockhall? and that is not a rhetorical question. You might find that one of the maligned pensioners sent Castillo on his way.

The Egyptian lad mentioned by unleaded is said to be a good right winger, but he has also played right back which is a worry as 'versatile' usually means ' just OK.'

The Austrian striker Janko seems to be a legit target. At 6ft5in it would be something different.

And the Gambian midfielder is well-recommened by some - although he will struggle for a work permit.

I don't think I could give you a list of likely signings because I don't think they know who they want themselves...but after seeing the trialists it should be clearer.

Wasn't that Bucky, it was the seeming lack of a plan B, which eventually became Vince Grella...who up to now would appear to be a mistake.

Did he really cost 3 million???

And if this Willy Gueret stuff comes to be, well it just adds more fuel to the 'jobs for the boys' argument.

Mind you, the board must be assessing this potential transfer action daily, in readiness to pull the plug and then eventually pull the trigger.

Castillo went to the camp in Germany, thinking he was signing and found out he was on trial. The manager decided against him after a day or maybe as long as two.

He is not top drawer, so that sounds like a good decision.

WRONG, Castillo joined the squad in Germany/ Austria (wherever they were) and was sent packing after just a few days by Ince.

Uh Oh doomsday Phil got it wrong again

Ince must be a half-wit if he signs Gueret. Even if it is "just" tens of thousands, it is a diabolical waste of money.

I need to be told something that will give me a bit of faith that our manager knows what he's doing.

As it is, if someone put a gun to my head and said "back or sack Ince??", the answer would be an over-whelming "sack".

i just can't help the gut feeling at the moment that if this ar5e is given enough time he will ruin my club.
