If there is no funding of a substantial nature in January, then the owners are building a crisis on a crisis. Whatever pretence we have to Premiership status will just melt away. Could they be so stupid? There would be nothing to sell, no support left, just a spiral into oblivion.

The article clearly says "Ince is unlikely to be given any transferfunds in January". How can you read that the wrong way? I Can´t see how that statement can be correct though.

There will definitely be money to spend in January - and some of the targets being chased will cost a few quid, if not exactly major money.

Janko would be about £3-4 million or maybe even less up front.

The Egyptian lad Al-Mohamaddi is a fee but that should not be too expensive. He thinks he is signing, by the way.

The other Egyptian Abd-Rabbo will take some working out as he is with one club and on loan at anoher. He is also wanted by other clubs and has not come on trial yet.

The Villanueva issue is still to be settled but he is on loan for a SEASON and could carry on as a loan player until then.

So, there will be spending - whether it is panic-buying or long-term building will probably depend on the next few results.

Was it not stated in the summer, that more funding from the trustees would be comimg in the new year (JW) , or something.

When is the Financial year end report due. That will tell us where the so called transfer kitty is or has gone. Cue Philipl. :D

With what? wild assumptions and guesses that rarely turn out to be true.

To reiterate, you and pretty much everyone else on this board the same level of access to the information that Pip puts his spin on.

Yes he articulates better than most on here, however don’t be suckered in by his style, as his posts usually lack any substance or corroborative information.

Bazza, don't you think people are quite capable of judging Philip's input for themselves? It doesn't need that kind of input, does it?

No I don't Den - Cue the above post. Some posters get suckered in to believing that whatever Philipl states is the truth- because that he presents his opinions as facts.

People should be able to work things out for themselves rather than relying on PhilipL’s opinion- its all a bit to sickly for me.

Ah my number one fan back again.

What a superstar- I have previously answered your questions on the numbers so I won't bother repeating myself.

The annual accounts will probably be circulated to shareholders within the next three or four weeks.

My forecast is an operating profit of around £10m but it depends where they have taken the Hughes compensation to- it is not exactly player trading. Overdraft down from £21m to something under £10m if the Rovers did indeed get the Hughes compensation in cash up front. These are numbers at 30 June 2008 remember- the overdraft figure at the beginning of September should have been around nil.

If I were the board, I wouldn't be taking up the £15m overdraft facility again (even if the bank offered it) so Ince missed his chance to spend big last summer.

So the bank is big cigar, not the Trustees.

Hopefully that's because they'll have binned him by then.

100% correct if you read it as saying Ince is not going to be here to spend anything the way things are going.

In fact this thread is pretty academic as we do not know who will be around at Ewood to do any spending in January.

Cue the above post, I don't get suckered in to believing anyone's opinions on this board, or any other source, there was a nice smiley after the comment, or didn't you notice. If there was a emoticon for tongue in cheek, I would have used it. :D The question was an open one, but knowing Philipl, would probably take the opertunity to reply, as he did.

According to reports in today's papers, Colin Kazim-Richards could be moving back to England for £4million. Now if he plays as well all the time as he did in Euro 2008 I would not mind seeing him on our right hand side. Also, confirms that Benitez has broken his leg. Apparently we were going to spend £8million on him which is a lot for us so could that be £8million well saved? I think he would have been first choice if Santa went with the money from his sale.

Has there not been a lot of reinvestment in the club shop, ground tours, Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre, purchase and demolition of St.Bartholomews school and church, Blues bar etc.,

Nicko, have you heard anything within the club concerning Ince's future? Ie, how many games he's got to save his job etc...?

Reason im asking in here is this is the section of the board Nicko visits more, and the Nicko topic is not allowed as yet.

He already mentioned that last week. Prior to Spurs, he had been given 4 league games to sort it out. Thats now down to 3, with 1 more defeat in the bag.

St.Bartholomews school and church - we do not own. We are simply renting the space for parking I believe

You havent seen it because Nicko hasn't said it. I've just looked through his posts as far back as October 20th and it hasn't been said.

I don't think I said that - but that doesn't mean it's not true.

Three more defeats in a row would mean something had to be done.

Lets be real about potential signings.

They are going tobe cheap options.

They are NOT going to be players who can stand up and fight especially in a relegation battle.

They are going to be players who will be off as soon as the relegation bell rings.

Well, Jon Stead and Martin Andresen showed stomach for the relegation fight - even if they were relatively cheap and not particularly brilliant players.
