I don't think I said that - but that doesn't mean it's not true.

Three more defeats in a row would mean something had to be done.

3 more games, will have us almost at half way. So Ince will have to get to 3 points in 33 before we sack him?????

No now, Ince has had plenty of time, pre-season, carling cup and league must come to a serious number of games? 3 more games in and a gap will be forming and we will be needing an instant change in form (which will not be easy).

Nicko, silly question i know. But if we sack Ince, do you think our new manager whoever he may be will come in with any idea of who to buy? Could we still go for Janko with Ince gone?

I don't think we'd risk going for another inexperienced manager at this stage surely...

This sacking could have some seriously worrying timing for bids on Warnock and Roque!

Would love it however if we made a move for Owen Coyle!

Mirror reporting Torosidis from Olympiakos will sign if Rovers agree to pay 3 million pounds. Your work, Nicko?

If we're signing a right back, it means a) Simpson is deemed not good enough and B) Emerton is a right midfielder ?

Would prefer signing a right midfielder and keep Emerton and Simpson for that right back spot, but that's me.

"A hard wingback known for his exceptional physical strength, endurance and technique", playing position, fullback, wing back or midfield, and standing at 1.91mtr/6'3" just about anywhere else in the team, I should imagine..

A couple of the players we are being linked with seem to be at the stage of agreeing the fee. (if there is any truth at all in the media)

If we are to agree the transfers and players terms, before the window opens, I asume this would be a sort of pre contract.

Does this mean Rovers would have to make some form of payment to the clubs to secure the transfer come 1st January, as a sort of deposit,

Rovers have been watching the Greek full back - who seems to play either side but usually right.

His agent says there is a deal in place.

We shall see.

It is certain that Rovers are chasing a lot of players for different positions right now...so it's all a bit hectic.

The Egyptian right winger Al-Mohamaddi was due to get an answer on his future today, but word is he has gone home.

The other Egyptian is yet to arrive, the Gambian can't get a work permit, the Ecuador striker broke his leg.

Who'd be a Premier League manager?

nicko, any word that Benitez was being compared to Janko or was it both?

That would surely mean Roque's off in January...

Two different types of strikers - one small and sharp, the other big and a threat.

I don't think it means Roque is leaving for sure, but you need to see what is out there if that day dawns.

I would think one striker would come in at least whether Roque goes or not.

But right now January 1 seems a long way away for all concerned.

pardon if this has already been answered but the Daily Mail is reporting that we have bought Onuoha for £3million?

One handy thing if this is true is that he wouldnt be used as part of a deal to get Roque...

Nicko, i thought that Eqyptian lads trial was going well, and we were looking likely to offer him a deal? Any idea of what has obviously gone wrong?

We seem to be getting allot of trialists, saying they did well, and then sending them packing?

Al-Muhamaddi was due in on Thursday but had a visa problem, so he arrived on Friday. He was in the hotel on Saturday and Sunday when the team was on duty at Spurs. He left on Monday.

I'm trying hard to figure out how long he would have actually been watched in this time-frame.

He thought he was signing today [Tuesday]...he might yet come back...but that is by no means certain.

Sorry perhaps I didn't read it properly. Are you saying that we arranged a trial for a period when none of the 1st team coaches or manager where able to watch him train??? When we had no training?

Please tell me I have mis-interpretted what you wrote.

This kiddo is highly thought of, and we invite him over for a cosy weekend in London, I take it his wife enjoyed the shopping!

I very much doubt Ince will be able to sign anyone yet, untill rovers start to win a couple of matches.

The player and his agent were over from Friday to Monday.

He stayed in Blackburn.

But I think he only had one day's training with the players.

There was a snag with the visa on the Thursday and he 'impressed' in training on Friday. So much so that he told people he was signing on Tuesday...

The trouble with these trials is that you don't have the time to judge players properly. It's a lottery that you won with Nelsen and Samba, but those are rare examples of players signed off trials. There will be dozens who came and went...and not just at your club either.

I may be being cynical but I can't imagine many if any of these cheap and cheerful foreign trialists having the stomach to dig in and fight their way out of trouble if we are still in trouble after the turn of the year.

If we are still struggling, we wil need real quality and people who are familiar with the Premiership.

Nelsen and Samba seemed to do ok as I recall.

Without them you would have gone down, Mark Hughes would not be described as 'shrewd' in the market.

Oh, and that gap thing would have been closed already. ;)
