Lee Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Also looking at the photo it looks as if the Unbro logo will be slightly higher up the shirt than the rovers logo. Ie where his hand is holding it. Ahem...

promoted2001 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Yeh, I still think the shirts look better with them inline, I was hoping they would put it back in the right place this season
doctorryan Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Yo Mods - I would like to request that a poll be added to this thread with regards to this stupid black lettering and numbers decision. Cheers
American Rover12 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Tacky. Just gross. You'd think with all the money that goes into these kits, they'd blend the sponsor in better. It looks very amateur.
Hughesy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 We have no confirmation that it is the final shirt - you never know they may of just ironed that sponsor on for that shoot? Either way it looks better that the big yellow, red and many other colours target of last season
brian_gallagher85 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Lee has more or less said it is the final shirt on the official board
Hughesy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Either way im happy with it. Not alot they can do with the home kit so it isnt the main design I want to see. I hope our away shirt is smart though
mikeyliu Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 yo, a heads up- I just stocked up on last season's 'classic' red and blacks here for 13.49
yorkblues Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 if you don't like the new shirt go to toffs and get a old one
b12_simon Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Yo Mods - I would like to request that a poll be added to this thread with regards to this stupid black lettering and numbers decision. Cheers If there is a poll I'd like to request a "who gives a monkey's" option.
Hughesy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Im in that category too! If there is a poll I'd like to request a "who gives a monkey's" option.
Hasta Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 As Jim Bowen might say - "lets have a look at what you could have worn" (Hope this is OK to post. If Mods want to change to a link feel free.
Hughesy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Dont mind the blue one Hasta but not keen on the red one.
doctorryan Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 If there is a poll I'd like to request a "who gives a monkey's" option. I've no problem with that being one of the options as long as one of the others is "we should stick with our traditions, it looks much nicer and it's unique".
Silencio Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I think it looks good. I prefer the kits to have no trim so I'm pleased with it. The best was the Kappa/Time shirt...
KoNG Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I think the 'blue box' version actually looks quite good Hasta, would definately look better than black. The plain red text looks beter still, but it seems we wont be getting that, especially if the numbers etc are said to be black.
Mc Love Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Has anyone looked at the crest, it seems as that is transferred on too, instead on knitted in!
modes98 Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Has anyone looked at the crest, it seems as that is transferred on too, instead on knitted in! I doubt it. I don't think the club would let them do that.
misterbigalow Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 As Jim Bowen might say - "lets have a look at what you could have worn" (Hope this is OK to post. If Mods want to change to a link feel free. Please put this on the official messageboard, the blue one is so much better than the naff black one we seem to be getting, and who knows, if they see that blue one (as the logo still stands out, doesn't it?) someone there might give it to the people making the shirt to have a flipping rethink! I doubt it, but its worth a try, the blue one is miles better. Don't think anyone would want the second one you made, due to it looking like its in Burnley colours, but its still better than the black box!
BlueMonday Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Second one much much better. Unfortunately its the opinion of the sponsor that counts on this one. Shame because it will probably put a lot of people off. Sales of the away shirt will probably do better.
Hasta Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I had to add the white halo to the red one in order to get the Crown Paints to stand off otherwise it wasn't distinctive enough. BTW - don't quote the post with the images on otherwise it slows the site down on slower connections.
b12_simon Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I had to add the white halo to the red one in order to get the Crown Paints to stand off otherwise it wasn't distinctive enough. Rather like the Perspex-sponsored shirts back in the 80s. Good work Hasta.
DanLad Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I think I would have preferred a white box and blue lettering for the 'Crown'
Flopsy Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Rather like the Perspex-sponsored shirts back in the 80s. Good work Hasta. did that have a see through logo then? I thank you, im here all week
