Eddie Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Why can't we just do something similar? Very simply shirt, put the umbro sign in white, sponsor in white and that's it.
Maverick Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 God no... I think we need to have a co-patent on halved shirts with Feyenoord and Alaves. How dare they nick our pattern Don't mind Barca wearing halved shirts. If another PL club where to change to a halved shirt, would be something totally different.
Cocker Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Don't mind Barca wearing halved shirts. If another PL club where to change to a halved shirt, would be something totally different. You mean like Spurs did
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Yeah but it was their anniversary of being envious of us.
b12_simon Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 God no... I think we need to have a co-patent on halved shirts with Feyenoord and Alaves. How dare they nick our pattern Add Basel, Zurich Grasshoppers, no doubt some others to that list. We were the first but we're not unique. Even Atletico Madrid used to play in blue and white halves:
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 You mean like Spurs did Wasn't that their anniversary kit and only worn once?
Cocker Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Wasn't that their anniversary kit and only worn once? Well I think they had 4 kits last year anyway
b12_simon Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Well I think they had 4 kits last year anyway The one, true sign of a massive club!
dopper69 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Anyone seen this yet?? http://www.sportsdirect.com/product-Umbro-...rsey-379439.htm I really like it Edit - Seem's like its not just the Rovers shirts that are being leaked by sports direct
John Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 but they have just stood bye and knowing the disillusionment of Mark Hughes with a shortage of funding for quite a while now, compounded it by withdrawing funding totally. So where is the assumption coming from, that they will have to provide it in future? Rangers fans: Sports Direct leak new Rangers top
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 A little naughty this sports direct! Its not bad but I'm sure Chelsea had a similar 'Embassy regal' stripe a couple of seasons ago. Not as striking as the red and black halves.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Anyone seen this yet?? http://www.sportsdirect.com/product-Umbro-...rsey-379439.htm I really like it blink.gif Edit - Seem's like its not just the Rovers shirts that are being leaked by sports direct Not as bad as it could have been. EDIT: I see what is going on with the stripe down the middle, still blue and white halves.
cn174 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Is that the Home jersey?????? Don't panic!! I'm pretty sure Sports Soccer have just got it wrong!
dopper69 Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Don't panic!! I'm pretty sure Sports Soccer have just got it wrong! Seconded

Don't see the need for there to be a blue and white strip through the middle either.

Don't see the need for there to be a blue and white strip through the middle either. From a footballing sense you are spot on, however I do think it will look dapper down the pub next season. Hopefully the black and red halves is being used as a third??
BRFC4EVA Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Dont understand it either, its far too similar to our home strip. Just like when we had a similar away kit a few years ago, we occcasionally had to use a third strip when the home and away kits both clashed. Pointless!
rog of the rovers Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Its def the away kit I like it! But as others have mentioned we might only wear it 3 or 4 times!
incy wincy little spider Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I really hope this is the away shirt. Even still i prefer the red and black one. Anyone remember the 'burnt orange' away shift years ago!??
