I never thought to be the merciful one, but wouldn't it be more humane to simply execute him? Otherwise he'll live his entire life tortured by his fellow inmates.

To avoid the "false dilemma" argument, I suppose it boils down to four options: releasing him; execution; a brutalized life behind bars; or, solitary confinement.

Of course, solitary confinement results in madness so perhaps that also falls into the "brutalized" option.

Unless someone can guarantee a daily dose of the Laundry Room treatment in 'Shawshank' then it's still the long drop, cremation with a pig's head in the box and the sooner the better for me. No p1ssing about in a few years time with limp wristed do gooders and skewed human bloody rights in Brussels.

Widely reported? A terrorist incident involving a OAP, I'd have hoped for more press than what has happened. The fact that you have not referred to him by name is an example of this, no?

The reason I mentioned this is that he lived in my area and I know something about him.

For the record I condemn all acts of terrorism, my heart goes out to both Lee and Saleem's family.

Horrific terrorist incident which has failed to make much national news. Bloke lived close to where I work and a number of people I know speak highly of what a decent man he was. Hanging? Damn right you should.

Not being picky imy9 but this is a murder case which is linked to terrorism rather than a full blown terrorist incident as yet.

You asked ME a question then said that you had looked back at the thread- try again.

You can have an opinion on anything dude but when you openly state that: 1. You know nothing about something, 2. When someone tries to explain your ignorance your comeback is... "I care not one iota what your rules are." Then it is IMO embarrassing, which is what I said.

"Backing him because he's a white boy"- you brought race into with no justification (except for the fact that I am Asian), why do you only feel it necessary to comment on incidents where the white person is the innocent party ABBEY? Wheres you sympathy when a British OAP is murdered in a terrorist act on home soil? Should we not hang the white guy too? I say hang all of them and that will send a message loud and clear to all.

One terrorist incident= Lee Rigby.

Four terrorist incidents, three mosques being bombed and one murder.

I am not downplaying Lee's in the slightest but surely FOUR acts of terror deserved more press, not made a front page of any national (as far as I am aware).

When did I compare mosques to a public execution? I said that four terrorist incidents should have been given more coverage, including a murder.

I'll ask again a British OAP getting murdered in our streets in an act of terror, why have you not commented on this, is it cause he is Asian?
