Rovers manager Mark Hughes, will wait on fitness tests on Jason Roberts and David Dunn, before naming the starting eleven for this afternoon's game with Liverpool.

Should Roberts fail his fitness test, Benni McCarthy, who is on the verge of signing a new contract, will start up front along side Santa Cruz, whilst Bret Emerton is expected to return at right back in place of Andre Ooijer.

One player hoping for a run out, is Rovers striker Matt Derbyshire, whose hoping to celibrate his 22nd birthday tomorrow with a winning goal.

Liverpool, after their mid week victory in the Champions League against Arsenal will be without, Mascherano, (suspended) Agger, Kewell and Pennant.(injured)
