I think we do. John Williams and the board.

1. We p1ss Hughes off by withdrawing ALL funding and sell Hughes and his team to City for 5m. Hughes went to williams and said he wanted to go -nothing to do with withdrawing funding - but to advance his own career.

2. We replace him with the cheapest option. You have yet to give him a chance - instead you just winge

3. Over the close season we sell Friedel, Bentley, RSC, Warnock and Samba for 45m making 50m in total. Only 2 of those have left and they both asked to move

Replace em with a decrepit old striker and winger and a few of MK Dons star players. Only robinson and Villianeue have been confirmed signings so far

4. Hand over the lot to the Trust fund who in turn hand over the keys of ewood to JW and the board.

5. We drop down the divisions in freefall and the only objector is the milkman again.

6. Faced with bankruptcy we end up forming Lancashire Utd but by now only Stanley and Darwen are willing to come aboard. Your points 4 -6 are just the rantings of somebody who does not know what they are talking about Your hatred of other people's opinions / ideas have blinded you to simple facts.

How dodgy do you want it to be pafell? Your post and negative attitude is dodgy enough imo. Anyway what do you care about rovers -I hear your playing golf this season.

bit harsh there imo Frisky. JW has helped steer this club to level where come the end of this season the club may post a profit; something not alot of PL clubs can boast. give the guy a break. why the need for doom and gloom?

I hope a takeover spells the end of Williams' disasterous tenure as the Rovers chairman.

The day he leaves the club cannot come soon enough. Williams out!

You're like a broken record!

Williams is restricting the potential of this club by his actions. It has led to the departure of Mark Hughes, Brad Friedel and David Bentley this year. It may also lead to the departure of Santa Cruz and Warnock. I'm not prepared to shrug my shoulders and accept that, Williams is the opposite.

You are starting to sound very like Vinjay. I suspect that you are Vinjay.

Edit: Oops you just beat me to it Florida Rover.

Cool it man each of those people mentioned left on there own accord - each one was encouraged to saty and each said they wanted to leave. Not a lot JW could have done. Hughes did use Rovers as a stepping stone to enhance his career and rovers did well by him. Friedel served Rovers well for many a year - he was happy at Rovers, then an offer came in that was too good to turn down. This opened the door for Rovers to get another keeper in, who is younger, for cheap. bentley asked to move whilst Hughes was the manager - by refusing to sign the new contract that was offered to him, was basically a request for a transfer.

Warnock has not sort a transfer nor has RSC.

Listen Ince knows he has a hard job on his hands - he has already said that he wants to freshen the place up - for us we have to just wait and see the results good or bad. Ince's ideas may work they may not. But if this Carlos Villianevue is as good as we are led to believe and is the type of player Ince is looking at bringing into Rovers, then there is going to be a completely different style of football at Ewood Park this season. Bringing in such players is ambitious in itself - I think that Villianevue will be a lot better than Bentley - his goal scoring record is a lot better than Bentley.

Due to the size of the club, i think williams has done a great job. wake up Jim, we are not a big club like United or Liverpool e.t.c , we can not afford to keep hold of our star players if a big offer comes in for them. Why don't you join the band wagon and go eat your prawn sandwiches at Old Trafford if your not happy with our club.

Why do you say "we can not afford to keep hold of our star players if a big offer comes in for them"?

John Williams has done a brilliant job at Ewood Park and long may it continue. Perhaps you would prefer an owner who comes in, gets the club into debt and sends us into administration.

Today, in John Williams and Tom Finn, we have two guys who are shrewd operators and have kept the club competitive without sending us towards adminstration. Personally, I hope they continue in their present positions for years to come.

I'm just guessing that he meant that our star players will want to leave when they are good enough for the big clubs. We can say no, but then we risk having a want away player that doesn't care sufficiently about performing for the team. We can afford it, we just can't "make" players stay, that is the way of modern football.

because it's the truth i am affraid and it's about time some people on here realise this, if Rovers recieve a big fee from one of the big clubs for one of our star players we sadly can not say no to them beacuse we quite simply can not afford to reject such a big offer.

It's the truth? You're basing that on nothing Gazz. Rovers have themselves said on numerous occassions that they don't have to sell their players. Don't you remember that?

And so say most of us! Yes even those like myself that hope against hope that the day NEVER comes when Rovers are sold again. Unless the virtual impossibility of another Jack Walker comes in for it. Until that day arrives we are very much better served by Rovers remaining under the ownership of the Trust, and managed administrativly by JW and TF. End of!!!

How can you possibly say that unless you are privy to Rovers accounts? That decision is for Rovers Management to make ( i.e JW and the board with inputs from Ince) and nobody else.

yes i do remember that Den, but look what happens when a club does put in a right offer for one our players, they don't come out and say that then do they Den. Put it this way if United or Arsenal put a bid in for Santa for about £15 million tomorrow, he would be sold straight away.

Because just like Bentley he would more than likely want to go

If a player wants out then the club is powerless to stop them that's just they way things have become in the modern game. And before you bring up the Gareth Barry case, lets just see how things pan out there first shall we...because I can't see him either

a) Staying at Villa this coming season

b ) and even if he does he won't have a season anything like lasts :)

Rovers will not turn down an offer for Player if they recieve an offer which equals their valuation of the player, and it will never change because we are not simply a bigger enough club to turn down that amount of money to us.

That's entirely different to saying rovers can't afford to keep players.
