2 cathedrals actually

the shopping centre is a bit run down now!

and the market has a lot of empty stalls,

but it has Blackburn Rovers, which is probably it's biggest asset and very little help from the council to promote them.

2 Cathedrals? Where's the other one?

Is that big Roman catholic church on the edge of Daisyfield by Perry's garage a cathedral? Otherwise I'm stuck for the other one too.

No, that's St. Alban's RC church. Big but a cathedral it ain't.

Ok googled it to check and Blackburn is in the RC diocese of Salford. Since generally only the catholics and anglicans actually have cathedrals there is only the Anglican one in Blackburn.

nicko or anyone else to that have any news on a potential takeover?? if there is one that can be done before summer it would be great as it would allow allardyce some more funds to get us into europe next season...

now that we're a step away from safety, surely the investors might be back in?

1864 Roverite claimed there is interest in the Wigan thread. Here's the quote...

Not a word.

It depends what the Trustees want for it.

Always has, always will.

I can see people maybe wanting to put money in, but a takeover is a very expensive business.

I don't think the Trustees want to share, so I'm not sure how an offer of money for a 'share' of the club would work...

I think John Williams said a few years ago that the club would consider selling a stake to a Tv company. That might apply to anyone else as well.

The rich list in 'The Times' makes interesting reading. The Walker family lost £350million last year which probably explains the reluctance of the Trust to put more money into the club. Whatever changes Sam wants to make in the summer will, I suspect, have to be self funding. With no takeover on the horizon and the club owners losing money, we are going to have to rely on Sam to work some of his Bolton magic at Ewood. It should be an interesting summer in terms of comings and goings - no matter which division we are in next season.

I haven't managed to read it yet, but if that figure is true its pretty worrying as that is half the value of the total trust. Anyone know what the Walkers were valued at this year?

I suppose so yes. For some reason the tags for the signature won't work but I've explained that. So for the time being I'll have to post it manually until the mods sort the signature tags out.

The signature is just my suggestion for the BRFC marketing department in terms of club branding.

Considering the spell checker on here it should be virtually impossible to spell incorrectly. Probably a good thing as it stops people being picky about what are more often than not bad typos.

To be quite honest I never use a spell checker because it so often misses things that I've typed wrongly that look like perfectly legitimate words. I usually spot my own mistakes and to be fair to myself, I spotted this one too. I just couldn't quite think what was actually wrong with it.

Remember new owners might want to bring their own manager in. It's happened at other clubs after takeovers so you shouldn't make assumptions.
