That has always been know as a cathedral and refered to as one by my catholic friends, who used to attend to repent, normally after going to the West End club

The LET should be reading this board and trying to find out whether there's any truth in what 1864 Roverite said. They obviously know people close to senior management at the club.

In all fairness I suppose they did secure an interview with Daniel Williams. Hopefully they can do the same with any future potential buyers.

How do I get the ignore function to work?

It doesn't seem to be working on vinjay- perhaps it has broken through over use?

Maybe you shouldn't read the takeover thread if my posting in it bothers you so much.

SteB said don't use the signature as it's too big. More likely I expect the real reason is it says premier league mentality on it.

Yep, all of us here prefer a Championship mentality. Or even better, a Conference mentality.

You have to update your ignore list, if you miss clicking on that you'll still see his posts.

And while I'm here shouldn't we be aiming to better ourselves? Rather than just 'Premier League Mentaility' why not 'European Champions League Mentality' or even 'World Club Championship Mentality'?

To state the obvious the club isn't in those competitions otherwise I might say that.

At the moment a takeover is the key way for this club to better itself.

I had to add it manually (and make a note of it because otherwise I would have been accused of posting it over and over) because the signature image thing has been disabled as SteB told me yesterday.

Maybe I will add that comedian bit to my signature.

Between Lawrence Cotton leaving and Jack Walker arriving there was a gap of 70 years. As these were the only two really wealthy individuals to be in control of the club over the past 100 years I suspect you might be in for a very, very, very, long wait for your takeover to happen. Then again, even if we were taken over there is no gurantee that it would be to the benefit of the club. Southampton, are hardly a shining example of the success of a takeover. If the club are going to be taken over they will announce it in due course. We have had a couple of years of rumours and not one real offer that would come anywhere close to buying the club. I'm not quite sure that spending the next year, two years, or ten years fantasying about a takeover that might never happen is worth the effort. Surely getting behind the present set up would be more beneficial to the club.

It's the present set up that won't get behind the club and want a takeover in the first place. I've offered my support to the players but I'm not going to blindly ignore the long term issues.

It's not "my takeover" either. It's Blackburn Rovers takeover and it's the club that will profit from it.

Why don't we talk about that rumour 1864 Roverite posted yesterday. I don't know what his reputation for accuracy on here is but why would he lie about it?
