Sparky Marky Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I've offered my support to the players but I'm not going to blindly ignore the long term issues. Bet they're well chuffed about that..

ace Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Its easy to add him to ignore - Wow this thread is so much easier to read now... Trouble is people will use the bloody quote facility..which shows his post ..even though you placed him in the "ignore" room. Same thing happens to that waggy chap too!
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Southampton deny takeover rumours. http://www.thisisjersey.com/2009/04/28/sou...enied-by-scott/ No doubt there will be many more rumours concerning them in the upcoming days. If somebody buys Southampton and takes on their debt problems no reason why there shouldn't be interest in BRFC this summer. Maybe before the summer now considering Sunday's result.

Do you intend to link every possible takeover of another club with the Rovers? I would have thought that what has happened at Southampton might have made you less enthusiastic for a takeover. A Premiership club one minute, a takeover or two later and there they are in League One.
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 It's a takeover related thread where else should I post it? It dosen't matter whether I'm enthusiastic about a takeover or not. It's still an issue of massive importance as long as the owners wish to sell.

It's still an issue of massive importance as long as the owners wish to sell. It's a ROVERS Takeover thread. Everything else post in the Other Premier League Happenings thread where most stories are discussed about other clubs.
ABBEY Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Well I'm not here to be a comedian. I give my opinion and stick to it. As I keep saying if you don't like me posting in the takeover thread don't read it. It shouldn't be that difficult considering nobody had posted in this thread for months before I came back. its all the. rubbish you spout on all the other threads Why don't we talk about that rumour 1864 Roverite posted yesterday. I don't know what his reputation for accuracy on here is but why would he lie about it? his rep is about 1,000,000,000,000 times higher than your pigcrap
blue phil Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Its easy to add him to ignore - Wow this thread is so much easier to read now... Was it too strenuous for you to simply scroll past Vinjay's posts ?
bubblerrovers Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Another 200 posts on the worlds craziest thread, WHY would anyone be interested in buying rovers in the current climate??? there is more potential in buying most championship teams and a few in league one now. I suggest we all buy euro lotto tickets if want to see money injected into the club. I'm off to post in the Rovers sign Kaka thread
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Maybe you should PM 1864 Roverite and find out what this takeover rumour (as mentioned on the Wigan/BFS signings thread) is all about.

"Can't afford it" "Jimmy's got one" "Can't afford it" "Johnny's got one" "Can't afford it" "Look the advert's on TV. It's really good. It does apps and everything. Davey's got one now" "CAN'T AFFORD IT" Repeat ad infinitum...
broadsword Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 It's a ROVERS Takeover thread. I heard Bet Lynch was taking over t'Rovers in Corporation Street.
iamarover Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 You have chosen to ignore all posts from: Vinjay606. Go to My Controls in the top right. Under Options go to Manage my Ignored users. Enter HIS name. Like Peter as he was handed the keys of Heaven your heart will soar as you then see a roll of the above posts on your screen. Blessed relief from wailing away on the wall of the Strand as he danced to the Turkish song of the Damned. As Shane McGowan might say. No more the screeching of the tortured soul as he wends his terrible descent into Bedlam. Your message board will once again be full of the clear blue skies of Elysium. Like a man relieved of a century of tinnitus your soft keyboard touch will save you from insanity.
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 A takeover might be the only thing that saves me from insanity. I can't see how discussing takeovers in an actual takeover thread is worse than suggesting a merger. You can PM 1864 Roverite for a current takeover rumour but I would be surprised with that particular scenario taking place. Time running out for Southampton FC... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8024522.stm
tashor Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 A takeover might be the only thing that saves me from insanity. To late
Blue n White Rover Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Vinjay, it's as though you are trying to sell Blackburn Rovers FC on this website, I can assure you nobody on here has the money, we're all blanket warming ginger golfers over here. Better still Vinjay why not go round with a Banner around England saying "Buy Blackburn Rovers!!!", better chance of a takeover then if you ask me. Patience is a Virtue
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 Maybe someone should put the club up on Ebay. (Joke) One thing I have got is patience. 6 years worth of it. Anyway there is a takeover rumour at the moment sent to numerous people via PM by 1864 Roverite. I thought it seemed an unlikely scenario at first but then sent it to Alan Nixon who thinks it's worth looking into. So if we hear more about that soon I will probably be posting even more in this thread. Other people will have heard it via PM by now I expect. They can post it here if they wish.

I'm sure that you wont be getting any more info for gobbing it about without asking. If I hear anything Vinjay I can assure you that you will be the last to know. Alternatively have you considered that you were the only one that got the pm? An 1864 set-up perhaps?

I hope you got 1864's permission before doing so. Otherwise you are kind of betraying a trust there. Just the fact you were offering someone elses services makes you a little indiscrete. Vinjay, I don't know much about your posting history but whilst I can't see anything wrong per se with discussion a Rovers take over, as you say, in a Rovers take over thread, I sense that you have a reputation which precedes you!

blue phil Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 It wasn't aimed at you , Jisty ..... nothing wrong with your comments
Guest Vinjay606 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I quote a line by 1864 yesterday... "If anyone feels the need to pass it on to other people then its fine by me, I dont think so far it has gone beyond that." My past reputation (2005) was criticising the Walkers in virtually every post. The reason for that was there was no clear effort to sell the club. I went too far to that extent but I won't apologise for discussing it in this thread. I focus more on the takeover now anyway than the current owners as there's been a clearer effort made to sell the club since 2007 when Rothschild was appointed. Shortly after that Dan Williams registered his interest.

Shortly after that Dan Williams registered his interest. I take back my comments regarding the indiscretion. It just seems to me that we've had much better opportunities to sell the club in the past and haven't. Short of being relegated, the club is probably at it's lowest potential worth. The terms of any takeover that the trust (via Rothschild) might have to fulfill are hopefully designed to protect the club from becoming a Southampton, Portsmouth or West Ham but that in itself could make it very difficult to convince anyone but a dyed-in-the-wool Rovers fan (-based consortium) from getting involved.
