This whole episode baffles me... He says he wants to go to a more ambitious club, but the fact is, he has been our main strike for the last season. What the bloody hell has he done to justify talking down to us for supposedly not meeting his ambitions?

If he had ended the season scoring 20+ goals and we were still in the bottom half of the table. I could understand these declarations he is coming out with. But the simple fact is, he has been a let down the last 12 months, and he is damnwell lucky he isn't playing for Man City's reserve team trying to get back his fitness at the moment, because im sure that would be far more damaging for his career.

He hasn't spent the last 6+ months injured at that so called 'big team' so he can count himself lucky he is still looking at a move anywhere who will give him a chance.

Also Roque, you were told you could leave this summer if you helped us survive relegation. Well we did it without you... Don't let the door hit you on the way out and destroy that 'wash and go' hair style of yours... ;)

I look forward to us getting a more 'ambitious' player then Roque, because it's obvious that he is a one trick poney...

Its not the "I want to join an ambitious club" ###### that annoys me..it's the fact that he will be asking for a chuffing "loyalty" bonus for sticking with us (!) while he has been doing naff all for the club!

I hope we can con some serious £ out of this twonk. Honestly he seems such an ungrateful idiot now. He'd be playing for Deportivo Wanka or FC Gutersloh by now if we didn't take a risk in buying him. Sure, you want to leave, but Mr. Santa Cruz you have to play well first. I hope we get shot of this loser soon, and for good, up front money.

Given that RSC apparently gets a cut of the transfer fee, or whatever, and the fact that he is unfit, makes me believe that his departure will take a very long time. It'd be nice if all parties involved in the transfer (BRFC, RSC, and whoever wants to buy him) can be sensible. Ideally RSC should wave his percentage, we should take anything greater than or equal to £10m and everybody can just move on. I don't dislike RSC or think he's a 'nobhead' but his time with us is clearly over.

He`d be playing for Porto. And this Setanta Website is absolutely @#/?,but you believe everything what you read,unfortunately..They also always say only the half from what Roque really has said..

He's clearly a bit of an idiot, even if he is occasionally misquoted or has what he said taken out of context there is simply too much there on too consistent of a basis for it not to be close to the truth. The sooner we are rid of him at this point the better.

He's clearly a bit of an idiot,

Nearly as much as an idiot as McCarthy who can't even be bothered getting himself properly fit.

In an ideal world we'd have them both fully fit and raring to go and still here next season. Can't see we'll be able to improve on them at their best but hopefully if one or both were to go, we'll get big money for both of them.

At least he's done his job when asked this season. Santa Cruz hasn't been available and his constant comments can't be helping anyone. Benni was an idiot during the Chelsea saga, but Santa Cruz is making him look like an angel with this one.

Benni did come out and admit his head was turned, and at least played for the team.

Roque is constantly injured, moaning all the time about wanting to leave without justifying he deserves a bigger club once this year.

Worst thing of all by far... his goal seems to be the best pick of a bad bunch in our goal of the season competition

That was a great goal, and shows he is certainly capable of doing great things.

However, when he has played, he has shown very little. His last few appearances were an improvement, but I remember the angry reception he acquired at Wigan for his lacklustre display.

But not nearly as much as you who is having a go at our leading scorer who we would be relegated without...

Who do you recommend we get who will score more for us than Benni?

Allardyce has finally lost patience with Santa Cruz.

1 SOCCER Blackburn Nightlead

ALLARDYCE LAUNCHES CRUZ MISSILE

By Ken Gaunt, PA Sport

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has lost patience with Roque Santa Cruz's transfer talk and accused him of ``underhand'' tactics.

He wants the Paraguay striker to focus on getting fit rather than giving radio interviews back home.

Santa Cruz remains sidelined with a knee injury and will sit out the Barclays Premier League match against Chelsea on Sunday.

He has not played for two months because of the problem yet in the meantime continues to try to engineer a move away from Ewood Park.

Only this week he used the airwaves to reiterate his desire to wear the colours of a bigger club - and he is rapidly losing favour with the fans.

Allardyce has now become tired of Santa Cruz's outbursts and said: ``He has become a little bit underhand.

``These kind of remarks always sneak out where we cannot control the situation. It has happened too many times for it not to be him and is disappointing.

``That is life today but Roque should really concentrate on getting himself fit and playing football for Blackburn, never mind talking about where his future may lie.

``Without his fitness and his capability of producing more than last season, he will perhaps struggle to get the move he is looking for.''

According to Allardyce, Santa Cruz can move but only if the price is right.

``I have always got on with Roque extremely well and explained the situation to him as it lay in January,'' said the Blackburn boss.

``If someone meets the value, he is gone. It is that simple.

``It is a shame he has not been fitter because he is a terrific player.

``The fans will always take a dim view of someone who openly says he wants to leave. I understand that, so we will have to wait and see what happens.''

Allardyce is, meanwhile, keen to tie up a long-term deal with on-loan defender Gael Givet.

It is understood a £3.5million move is already in place with Marseille for Givet, who has become a regular in the side after arriving in January.

Allardyce, however, wants to see some common sense when it comes to personal terms as the Frenchman was out of favour at his club.

He said: ``We are trying as hard as we can and as quick as we can. I know the player wants to stay and I want him to stay. He has been a magnificent find for us.

``But he also has to understand that we have resurrected his career and loyalty needs to be shown both ways.

``Hopefully we can cross that line because at this stage it is always about the financial side of it.

``I hope that he is sensible enough to understand that it isn't just about finance, it is about football.

``Football is the most important thing to him and his family.

``He's had a daughter recently, in the last few days. We congratulate him on that, now let's make his long-term future here at Blackburn.''

It`s all up to Blackburn Rovers if Roque will go or not,i hope he can leave this club as soon as possible..

You need to learn the lessons of history that only Hughes put right. People should only leave when we have an equal or better replacement.

If this season had been as successful as his debut season for us then I wouldn't mind him seeking a move to a bigger club because he would have deserved the move, however he's not had a successful season and he's constantly in the media requesting a move which is ruining his reputation as decent guy with the fans. Maybe he should view this season as a wake up call and remember how last season was his most successful in terms of personal achievements on the pitch in his career instead of the previous years at Bayern which left him with trophies but a lack of playing time to show people just how good he can be. He left Bayern to get first team football. Why make the same mistake again by going to a top club and risking a perfectly good set up. Maybe we should send him a DVD of Bellamy's time at Liverpool to show that it isn't always greener than it seems on the other side.

Under normal circumstances I would agree, RSC has to be an exception, if only for the never ending press talk.

I can't see the players being happy with his attitude if he stay's, God forbid.

Well, no! But if nicko's suggestions are anything to go by, Ince certainly had his philosophy set out against a certain fans' favourite

.............who categorically stated in print that his departure was nothing whatsoever to do with Ince. (John Williams also stated the same to the Fans Forum)

But heyho let's believe nicko.

As regards Roque's attitude, I don't think it would affect the squad too much. They're not fans, it's a job to them and if any of their colleagues had the chance of a double your money move I think they'd say good luck to him whilst possibly being saddenned by his departure.
