Prem finishes on Sunday suspect an announcement within a fortnight of Sunday re him (just guessing timescale) Tevez 's contract with rags finsihes end of May then rags will either stump up the brass or he is a free agent to go where he likes provided club prepared to buy him from owners. 2+2 = 5 Tevez and RSC for me. philipl Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 According to the Mirror, Hughes has given up on RSC and is now chasing Carew
Dunnfc Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 Thats Hughes trying to bring RSC price down. If Hughes had really given up don't you think he'd have told RSC in private that he had, and RSC wouldn't be making anymore noises right?

Suspect City are just letting Rovers know they have alternatives. Here is another two:- http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/3227...al-striker.html http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/footba...eas-Drogba.html

I don't know where these stories keep coming from, but the comedy value of it all is immense. No top player currently at a top club, is going to a club out of europe next year.

City have ideas of greatness. Throw enough money then a superstar will come eventually. But I don't think it'll be this summer though. If City improve next season then maybe in 12 months time
Majiball Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 City have ideas of greatness. Throw enough money then a superstar will come eventually. But I don't think it'll be this summer though. If City improve next season then maybe in 12 months time Even then, they'll have to be in the champions league before the big fish will come there way. Kaka could have had his salary quadrupled to 500K a week, and he still turned them down. I am however quite keen for say spurs to make europe next year, Harry's been linked to RSC. If it comes down to a choice between City and European football, I wonder who Santa would choose. Personally for me it would be spurs and european football, also harry's done very well there so far.
philipl Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Fulham have a two point edge going into this afternoon's games and are playing a pre-Cup Final Everton at home. Liverpool entertain Spurs and whilst Raffa might rotate daftly, I suspect whoever is playing for the Scousers will be wanting to make the record books look like they ran the Mancs mighty close and please their adoring Kop in the sun this afternoon. Spurs getting into the Europa is as unlikely as Sunderland going down in my view. Anyway, I am delighted Hughes has failed to do at City what he achieved three times at Rovers- finish seventh or better. As for RSC's departure, I'll repeat- it will be a loooooong summer.
Annie Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Yeah, I saw him sitting at the bench with the other players during the first half of the game...he turned his head and looked directly at me and gave me a flashing smile..and I went to heaven
philipl Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Is RSC actually good enough for City? No. He is too good for that shower.
Exiled_Rover Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 yes he was walking round before ko And on the lap of honour at the end.
cn174 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 So Rocky's happy here after all. Or just realised that noone is going to want to buy him now! It is like Benni all over again
tashor Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 So Rocky's happy here after all. If he returns to Ewood as an away player I'll boo him. If he plays in a Rovers kit I will be 100% supporting him. Nothing else matters here................. Just seen Clure's post...........And the above applies to B. McCarthy as well - who do you support again??
HemelRover Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 So Rocky's happy here after all. He doesnt actually come out and say that he wants to stay/doesnt want to leave though does he?
den Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 He doesnt actually come out and say that he wants to stay/doesnt want to leave though does he? No.
Tris Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 He doesnt actually come out and say that he wants to stay/doesnt want to leave though does he? But he hasn't actually come out and said that he wants to leave / doesn't want to stay though has he? It's all been 3rd hand translations from dodgy interviews with media organisations on the other side of the world.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 From what I can tell, Roque's personal position has always been that he's not UNhappy with us, he'd just rather be at a bigger club, ideally playing Champions League football. I can sympathise with that.
Backroom Tom Posted May 27, 2009 Backroom Posted May 27, 2009 This is confusing but maybe win/win. If he goes we get good money If he stays and is happy we may get the real Roque back
Eddie Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 He'll always have injury problems. Let's sell him and bring in a striker we know can actually be fit for games.
