an actual yoda!

You know what I mean!.

The actual Yoda, in this context meaning the original Yoda, not the imitation. Or were you not not laughing at that?

I was disappointed with the booing, but was really pleased with the chanting straight after. I was sat in the Riverside, right near the BBE and people there were joining in the pro Roque chants. I liked the fact that he acknowledged it. Booing will do nothing to help our situation, if anything it can only make it worse. It'll be interesting to see if anyone admits it.

I think Roque was a bit naughty with the 25 million comments made in the press, maybe thats why he got an initial booing. But it was good to hear the reception after that.

The guy has publicly stated that he doesn't want to play for the club anymore, after signing a new contract in the summer, so I'm afraid its open season, although I won't be booing him.

Good to hear Sam quoted in the local press about not giving "two hoots" about the money city are offering for Roque. I think we'll sell in the end, but to give Hughes and the Arabs the hump is good in my book.

But he has not said he does not want to play for club anymore. What he has said 'Is that he is happy at Blackburn but wants to better himself at a club that has potential of playing Champions League Football.' He feels that is at City, I don't.

He has not gone yet and as such as a Rovers player deserves Rovers Fans support, just like Keith Andrews, not boos.

Pigshitignorant

A bit like your language then?

Anyway to Santa's performance. He was on the pitch for 20 minutes and touched the ball 4 times. I'm not sure what that says because I wasn't counting how many times Roberts had the ball in the same period but it seemed like a lot more.

People have the right to boo and I fully expected it, but to call everybody a moron who gave him the bird is a bit moronic in itself. Robets and McCarthy seem to be hitting it off at the moment so they should be first choice, so if Cruz wants to start next season keeping the subs bench warm on Mancheser City Council pitch, take the money and move on - we've lost better players than Santa Cruz.

It had to be expected - why should he just say what he wants and then get away with it. He has made it clear he wants out. The initial reaction was aimed at that, the following chants were then aimed at him, almost like to say "stay and you become a hero".

Its his call... but he wont make anything at City... Just like Hughes wont. £20m sounds too good to me.

He has publicly stated he wants to leave, that will upset people who pay their hard earned money to watch the team, and thats the crux of the matter.

From Telegraph

Roberts 17 passes

Benni 14 passes

Roque 7 passes

Forget the babyhouse stuff. Booing is effectively painting the club and Allardyce into a corner that will inevitably mean that we will lose RSC and for less money than we are asking. Every numpty booing from the Blackburn End is taking bargaining chips away from the manager.

I didn't boo, but at lot were in the right hand side (when you're facing the stand from the pitch) of the BBE.

The cheer was loud, and felt a bit strange, the mixed reception. Not seen that at Ewood in a while.

He looked desperate to score at times and get forward.

I think you missed out the words 'narrow minded' between upset and people. Anyway who the hell wouldn't want to leave given the stupid money situation at City?

football is a funny old game, when he was scoring like hell last season did we imagine some would be booing him this season!! transfer deals are very strange now with agents and press more to blame than the player himself, if i was a chairman interested in a player i would ring the opposing chairman see if the guy is for sale for the amount willing to offer, if he is get a meeting with agents, chairmen, managers and sort the damn thing in one night, why the hell we have to have a january window in the first place is beyond me, apart form press getting overtime, what is beneficial to having 1 month of transfers opposed to having transfers all year round (apart form the fact that man city would now be called manczil

the obvious argument is from what i just stated about man city having cash at hand to buy whoever, but then the ball rolls for other clubs to get who they need , im sure there are going to be some mega meetings about both issues in future.

If you pay your money, you’re entitled to an opinion. The sport is nothing more than pantomime, why shouldn’t the bad guy get booed?

Why come on here ranting and raving expletives – is this what you have to do (now that so many have you on ignore) to get a reaction?

I would have thought if anyone would understand the pantomime analogy it would have been you.

latest big sam quotes from LET

loving big sam more and more each day - very clearly having a go at Roque and showing up his poor attitude, contrasting it with Benni's positivity and desire. it does appear though that Sam's patience with Roque is running very low now. Hope we get as much as we can out of him.

I don't think it's that much of a dig at santa cruz. i'd say it's very sensible management. the guy has been injured, has just come back nad needs to get full training in, especially being an injury prone player. Allardyce didn't need to start him or he would have done. He probably saw the sense of santa cruz's statement and went with it.

Rovers should offer Roque a cash incentive to stay now and offload some of the fringe players instead (Derbyshire,Gallagher, Mokoena,Vogel ANother) for me this would show a position of strength on the clubs behalf by rebuking Man City and Mark Hughes.

Watching Cruz come on as a sub as opposed to Derbyshire felt very good as a Rovers fan, for the first time this season it looked like we had a strong team that was too strong for the opposition and long may it continue hopefully Roque wont go the club will have to make him another offer.

Roque already has a massive cash incentive in the form of the clauses tagged onto his current contract which are effective this coming summer.

My guess is City will have moved on by then (quite probably without Sparky) and the usual suspects- Spurs, Villa and Liverpool- will be hovering around if Roque has a strong second half of the season.

Regradless what he has or hasn't said - there is something very wrong about booing one of your own players. I didn't agree with when it happened to Neill and tbh I can't actually remember it happening with Benni (and he was very vocal about his desire to play for a 'big' club. Same goes for Bentley.

I think it just reflects badly on the club imo. We should be giving him reason to stay - not telling him to**** off.

If he can back to the form he showed last season - he will be priceless for us.

And apart from anything else, I think all prem clubs should be telling to city to **** off . THey think they can do what they like now they've got money. I hope they go down.

Booing your own players is simply cutting off your nose to spite your face. The rationale behind it is completely illogical anyway - if you say that you do not want to be part of the team then I'm going to boo you - hopefully to upset you, and therefore by extension affect the team. Duh <_<

Note by comparison that the Milan fans chanted kaka's name throughout the weekend match.
