long time I know no post I read this last night late this has saddened me there are several points that need clearing up tho about the interview he gave and other points

1.) Did he not say in the summer he understood why he wasn't sold in the summer cos we were in a relegation battle and we could not find a better replacement and he understood the clubs plight by the comments he has made I will only play if I am 100% fit but he does not think he will be fit before the end of the campaign sounds very much like he has gone on strike cos he did not get his way and this injury seems very suspect to me

2.) people say we should have sold in the summer we had no suitable replacement 2 come in and the only 2 players I would of considered are either Sturridge or Caicedo from City but Sparky was not willing to do that the rest of Spurs players are dross Lennon might be ok up front as he has pace which we lack but depends on how good his shot is I have asked a spurs friend about him but I have to say he is too inconsistent and need a lot of work at times on his delivery sometimes he has a good delivery on crosses other times he just goes missing and would not improve the team as for Bent yes has pace but not much else does not consistently score like Rsc.

3.) RSC should be fined several weeks wages for coming out with this rubbish at such a critical time of the season does he not realise the trouble we are in and if he was an honest pro given the fact he has been injured for a while now with our prem status at risk he would say ok I know I want to leave but considering I have not given my all to the cause will stick it out for next season try to stay fit have an impact then with our blessing when we are in a more stable state in the league higher up next year he would leave with our blessing but the timing this has come out is bang out of order and we should get rid in the summerbut would have to agree if he goes if I were SA we should not let the player dictate when he leaves if City are interested if Sparky is still there we should sell in the summer the full cash would be nice but we should dictate how he goeswith either Sturridge / Caicedo as part of the deal maybe if Liverpool are interested either full cash or players as part of the deal would be ok but as for Spurs mish mash of cast off's I would be very sceptical and RSC should realise he only goes when the deal is right of us and either we get the full asking price up front / players we want or he stays put until this situation is resolved.

I would like to say what I really think of RSC but it would include several words that would not be welcomed on this board needless to say some comments posters have made previously sum up just how frustrated and saddened I feel for this club and wish Jack Walker was still here he would have sorted the boy out once and for all.

Rant over!

p.s. sorry for the lack of punctuation but am poor at it!

Im pretty sure Roque decided his knee needed doing and as he is here, and doesnt want to be, thought he would pass the time by having his problem fixed, before he finally fooks off in the summer.

Thats my take on it. Could play, but hey - why bother - get fixed up for your move.

Do we know if he has gone to Gleneagles on the Team-Building?

But if not...who else has not so we know who the other Judas' are.

BUY LOCAL or ship on as soon as a profit is likely. Not the other way round!

I hope he was left at home, he doesn't give a ###### about our team/club, so I wouldn't want him anywhere near a 'bondage session' haha

What a horrible feeling to know, you could have received close to 20 mill pounds for him. Forget the fact that there was no replacement, because he aint playing anyway so we might have used the money to strengthen the midfield instead. He should just f off right now, because he clearly is of no use to us. We kept this idiot, and let Derbs go! Unfortunately this wont be the last time a player does this, in fact its not the 1st time either. Get lost Santa Cruz!

Just ignore the rather sad Waggy DunnFC, he is a mere troll who throws a strop because he thinks our current manager smells. Don't bother getting in a debate with him as he uses his 20/20 hindsight to say 'told you so'.

As for RSC, he has seemingly shafted us by saying he'll make sure he'll be fit for his new club and screw the relegation battle. As long as he can parade in a new shirt next summer that's fine by him. ____ him and ____ all football players.

One thing that always annoys me is this ambitious rubbish. Surely every team is ambitious? We all WANT to win the champions league and our own domestic league and cup evey season.

Just as the term 'investment' means something completely different in the world of football so too does 'ambitious'. It means a richer club that will pay more salary.

Oh you do make me laugh, roll my eyes and loads of other things. You're definitly a wind up merchant.

I'm pretty sure that most of the people who are saying we should have sold him, said the exact same thing at the time. Yes no one really knew 100% how keeping him would turn out and it was a gamble, but they had the same opinion when we were discussing wether to sell or not as they do now.

I think you should give them the credit for being right...that is of course if you still want the credit for being right about Ince. You were saying we shouldn't have given him the job. No one was 100% sure how it was going to turn out and it was a gamble, but you had the same opinion at the time as you did when we sacked him. Similarities? Benefit of hindsight or good judgement? Oh I know the answer, yours was good judgement and theirs is luck and the benefit of hindsight.

Correct. Very observant pugg. I commend your interpretation.

I got quite excited until I read this piece of rubbish:

"City bid £20m for Santa Cruz in the summer"

Still, Liverpool do need a striker in the summer so they (along with City and Spurs) are probably the only semi-realistic suitors for him.

More likely Lpool will be forced to sell Torres and Gerrard by the RBofS unless the ayrabs come tearing over the horizon to rescue em.

sell the dog asap :angry2:

RSC = Tw@t

Get lost Santa Cruz!

Who let the dogs out?

btw Warning to Ben the beast and everybody elase.... I found out last week (and you are probably well aware now too) from a member of moderation that circumventing the swear filter is actually counted as worth a 25% warning as opposed to spelling the word correctly going unpunished! Basically what you wrote is wrong and very naughty but to spell it as #### is fine. :)

:rover: told you so :unsure::brfcsmilie:

Why not ban this attention seeking prat. He admits he does not go to Ewood or support the manager so why allow him on this board to continually spout his childish drivel. It really is getting tiresome.

Reading the Daily Mirror report it was rather predictable that they fail to mention the several seasons he failed to make an impact at Bayern due to injuries. Few appearances and even fewer goals. A one season wonder. If it were Rovers currently trying to sign him from another club they would take great delight in highlighting his deficiencies. If we get anything like £20m for that crock I'll drop my pants and show my arse at Darwen Circus as us Darreners like to say. Yet another mercenary using us as a stepping stone. Realistically we could get £12m + if the idiots feel the need to pay this sort of amount but in practise it may go higher in a bidding war.

I'm with waggy on this one and feel we should have rid ourselves of him in January. Pretty boy tosser. (Crocky not waggy!)

Precisely my point. why lie and use the word ambitious? Why not accept that all clubs are equally ambitious in the long term but not all clubs are equal in their ability to achieve it? therefore if it's more cash you want or instant Champions League football rather than working your socks off to help the club you're at do as well as possible, why not just say it because we fans aren't daft and we read what you don't say anyway?

If I remember reading nicko correctly, the Santa clause means RSC pockets anything over £15m up to £20m from a transfer fee BUT, Rovers are only obliged to sell at an offer of £18m (or is it £20m)?

So RSC understandably is interested in starting an auction. But two huge problems:

To say what he has when he is the Rovers' highest paid player and club talisman just as the club takes a bad dip in the fight for survival is an absolute disgrace. Totally unbecoming of a guy who had previously come over as being a gentleman in soccer.

And we've got the three ugly sisters in contention.

- the complete and total shambles that is Man City. A club whose management has taken incompetence to such giddy depths they culd not even spend £130m when it was given to them. And of course they have now totally screwed up on signing RSC in TWO windows despite him being Sparky's number one target both times. Third time lucky or once a cock-up, twice a cock-up, always a cock-up?

- 'arry's Spuds. Need to offload to buy so if nobody feels like parting with £10m plus when Bent and Pavlyuchenko are waved in their direction, RSC is not going to be headed to the building site. Spuds would no doubt be elated to send Bentley back from whence he came and cancel their actual IOUs and the IOU if he gets sold. Wouldn't leave too much cash coming to Ewood after Roque's cut if that happened though and we'd be left with a marriage made in heaven- Big Sam and Little David?!?

- Liverpool are the obvious and logical destination. Not winning anything this season is down to being a one horse strike force so adding RSC would not only provde cover but Torres and RSC could well be the most devastating strike force the Prem has seen since Cole and Yorke or the SAS. Only Rovers would be held fortune to the poor man's Spanish soap that is Liverpool's owership/£350m debt up for refinaning. A Liverpool which remember had to sell Keane back to Spuds because they had no readies to pay the instalment when it fell due.

What a grim prospect! RSC leaving is going to drag on and on and on and on...

I think the days of transfer auctions are gone. Rocky will decide where he wants to go, inform that club and sit tight. The buying club will have no need to go above what they think they can get him for - not necessarily what he's worth.

I know this defies the point of a message board...but could we close this thread?

I'd rather the club, supporters and anyone else, but the disrespect of Rovers out of their minds during this critical period.

RSC has gone about managing his transfer the wrong way; he should have waited till the end of the season. I assume he’s handed in a transfer request?

The club that he joined was very different; it did have ambition and was going places, we should have been up there with villa and Everton this year. But When MH left for City, the appointment of the right manager was critical to continue the ambition, as a result where now with a manager who 9 months ago most of us did not want but now are dam glad to have.

Paul Ince did not know how to spend the David Bentley money; I just hope big Sam knows how to spend the RSC money, so this fine club can be rebuilt. :brfc:
