My wife can't

It's harder for women becasue they actually have to have the kids and despite more modern attitudes to parenting in the majority of cases it is the mum who is the primary carer in many families, especially if she's feeding the baby herself. However, for footballers to have families is probably more of an advantage than a disadvantage. there's something about kids that keeps you very grounded. they know exactly how to bring your ego down to zero in one fell swoop.

The club should have a policy with an effort made not to sign players with large families particularly those with kids. Sometimes it's unavoidable (if a player is really talented) but in football it's better for players to have limited personal distractions.

How many boobs do women have on your home planet?

Never heard of anything so outrageously daft in my entire life.

Totally agree. Was just trying to make light of possibly the most ridiculous topic i've read in the last 12 months.

I'd rather have all the players with families. Football then becomes the means of providing for them. Not a means of attracting gold digging women or trouble seeking jealous alpha males. And yes children do have that knack of grounding you. Or simply flooring you with a loving headbutt or a friendly gauging of the eye as my lad seems to enjoy.

From what I've observed of Vinjay, pretty much all of his comments are designed to cause argument and backlash, for example his most recent comment on this thread. You're only humouring him by responding.

I gave a fair opinion and I'm sticking to it. In the case of exceptional players like Kaka exceptions can be made. I did say something along those lines on the previous page.

There's nothing outrageous about what I said. Other clubs would be free to sign players regardless of their family situation. Some players this week however have clearly put their families ahead of Blackburn Rovers future. Maybe they have their priorities in the correct order but it's not the order I want.

Every BRFC fan should want players with limited distractions therefore in most cases they would put BRFC first. When the club scouts players every aspect of their life should be scouted. If there was an option between 2 equally talented players (one of whom has family commitments and one who dosen't) I would rather sign the one who dosen't. It prevents the type of situation that has occured this week.

....and then Vinjay entered the land that is called REALITY.....

Son, you really need to take a good long hard look at what you are writing, read it first before pressing the SUBMIT button.

We live in the 21st century in a world governed by greed. The word "respect" has been erased from the English language. Whatever possesses you to think that a modern day footballer will have respect for the shirt ? Its about the money, the platform for greatness and GREED. Footballers care not a jot about the club, the fans or the hopes and aspirations of young football hopefuls. They care about themselves.

Baggage is a necessity in todays footballing high stakes.

Now then lad, you can wake up, its time for school......

Its not as much the fact that he posts more @#/? than some on here, including myself sometimes but more a case of him not thinking clearly or at all before posting. The point that players with a family are more distracted, are just plain daft. Its more the other way around, as their image are much more of a responsible player than a wreckless one. Players who are not attached or single, are more of the type looking for the next party or lining up another sex worker or stealing the heart of a 40 year old mom of 5. This is off topic, but surely the mods need to filter the name Vinjay.

Again, Iceman? He's supposed to be back all sensible and calmed down. He reminds me a bit of Herbert Lom in the Inspector Clouseau films. Keeps coming back but gets more potty every time they let him back to work.

Potty or not he's just plain wrong. Top managers like Clough and Ferguson were renowned for encouraging players to settle down for obvious reasons. Quite why he thinks, based on the evidence all over the premier league and championship, that single players with tens of thousands of pounds a month disposable income will be more dedicated to a club than somebody with kids I do not know.

Because he knew it'd get a reaction.

And lo and behold...

Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz fears his knee injury will cost him a big-money move away from Ewood Park this summer. (Daily Mirror)

Wonder if his agent was over discussing this and maybe offering to waver the 'loyalty bonus'?

A proper person would be more concerned that his knee injury would cost his club their place in the Premier League.

Beginning to hate this fella.

In that case should he not find another club then he should have no objections to a renegotiation of his current contract to a version of Fowlers 'pay as you play'.

Yes, I know. I just find these things frustrating T4E. If it's all a load of c***, then let's have someone at the club come out and clarify matters.

JW is quoted in the telewag saying that we need the fans more than ever, - which is fair enough. Why not go that little bit further and tell the fans how he intends to take the club away from this being a year in, year out situation? Give them some reason why things are going to improve at Ewood. It doesn't matter if his vision for the next few seasons doesn't work out, but at the moment there seems to be little reason why the fans who are already ST holders, should renew next season.

[maybe it's just me - decorating at the moment and I bloomin' hate it]. ;)

As I'm sure we all will be.

But its been a dissapointting couple of seasons now, some light at the end of the tunnel would be nice. Because faith and hope seem to be getting smaller all the time at Ewood.

So, more than likely, will I GB. There are lots of others who probably wont though. At this moment in time, why should they? Can't remember the last positive message coming from Ewood.
