American Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Cowher is my first choice, though I wouldn't mind Mangini - wasn't his fault they stuck him with Favre instead of Pennington.

T4E Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Just watching Total Access - I'm a bit concerned about where Shanny goes. TD even mentioned the Raiders. Schefter talking about the Chiefs. Not good.
American Rover12 Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I hate going to Jets games. And I hate the jets
Rovermatt Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Just watching Total Access - I'm a bit concerned about where Shanny goes. TD even mentioned the Raiders. Schefter talking about the Chiefs. Not good. Would he go back to Oakland? Doesn't Al Davis still owe him money?
American Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 No way would he go back to the Raiders. I see the Jets as a good possibility.
T4E Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 I was surprised (nay, horrified) but they didn't dismiss it out of hand, or even close. Schefter was pushing KC hard. I'd be gutted if he stayed in the AFC West. Go Shanny, the Lions need you.
Rovermatt Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If he went to the Jets he'd have to endure a summer of Favre humming and haaing over whether or not he'll bless New York with his presence, his $13 million contract and his dogged pursuit of yet more INT records next year.
Billy Castell Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Have the Detroit Lions lost every game then? I see the tables pop up on SSN, and the loss column seems to look ever more impressive. Have the Lions always been crap, or was there a time when they were superbowl contenders? I'd be surprised if more than 10 people turned up for the last few games this season. US football (aka soccer) fans are usually the biggest glory supporters around, so it might be the same for native sports.
Shevchenko Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Yes, the Lions made history by losing every game this season and ending 0-16. A record that will be hard to beat unless they expand the league or make it longer (as has been discussed).
Rovermatt Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 At least the Lions get first pick in the draft. Matt Stafford out of Georgia has been heavily linked. Did anyone see the highlights from the Colts-Chargers game last night? As soon as San Diego won the coin toss for OT, somebody in the group (possibly Manning) could clearly be heard saying 'Game over!' It turned out that this was the case.
American Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Woke up for the end of it. I can see the Chargers causing problems next round, but think the Cards are going to have a hard time winning on the road.
grizfoot Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Didn't think the Chargers would have enough to beat the Colts last night especially since LT only played briefly. This meant that tiny Darren Sproles had to step in he was at the heart of everything good that came from the Chargers, he also came back strongly after he'd fumbled only one yard away from the end zone to go onto win them the match in OT. Very entertaining match though. Another close one between the Eagles and the Vikings still ongoing.
T4E Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Terrible low snap that Jackson couldn't get to, fumble recovery by the Eagles and that'll be that you'd think. Fair play to Philly and SD, both were hugely improbably for the play offs and both will be in the divisional round atleast now.
Exiled_Rover Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Well the Panthers have embarassed themselves on the biggest stage. Congrats. Hopefully this means the end of Fox, Trgovac and Delhomme.
Rovermatt Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Giants are playing like sh*t right now, heading out of the playoffs. Well done Plaxico.
T4E Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Out go the Giants, Philly in the Championship game. This game is incredible.
Shevchenko Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! That's pretty much all I have to say.
Rovermatt Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 The Giants have been dire for weeks now. And managed to scrape the top seed on the basis of their sizzling early form.
grizfoot Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Managed to get a tenner on the Eagles at 17/1 on Betfair before the post-season began, now currently trading at 3.65. Don't think I'm going to risk letting that one run although I do still fancy them to go all the way. Thought the Eagles did a good job today, The Giants never really got going they had numerous good field position but Eli and the offence just couldn't seem to string any plays together. Credit where it's due though the Eagles defense did a great job all game. Who'd have though a Eagles/Cardinals Championship game would have been on a couple of weeks back. This NFL season has been so unpredictable. Amazing how all three bye teams with homefield advantage have gone out so far.
T4E Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 McDaniels for Broncos Very very pleased with that. I hadn't seem him linked with the job until now, but he's done a magnificant job with the Patriots. Very positive move.
T4E Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Alright - looks like we're back just in the nick of time. You guys all staying up (where applicable) to enjoy the festivities?
ABBEY Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 @ home. stella ,jd,pizza and peanuts....GO CARDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
American Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 First day onsite at a client tomorrow. Should be fun, hoping to nap the next hour.
American Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Springsteen is God, but what the hell is the Big Man wearing? Hell of a TD that probably changed the entire complexion of the game. First drive is a must score for the Cards, or I can go to sleep.
Tris Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I've slagged this sport off in the past, but got that wrong. Amazing drama.
