Rovers in America Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Don't really know how you can say that, gamst has won almost every important header between those two. Having one of his better games in while. You should know by now. Gamst could go out and score a hat trick and everyone would still find something to rail against him about saying it's just more of the same pitiful performances.
Plastic Head Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 If David James had started in goal Portsmouth would have acheived a Premiership first. Maybe a English first. Anyone know what the "first" is while this dull affair goes on at Fratton?

rovers1993 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 ashdown doing a brad friedel to prevent nelsen his first goal.
AggyBlue Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Anyone know what the "first" is while this dull affair goes on at Fratton? He would have become the first goalkeeper to actually fall asleep during a game
Mc Love Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I thought it was appearances?? Anyway, unlucky nelsen
Exiled_Rover Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 All the wrong reasons. Glaringly obvious that they just aren't good enough. I don't mind Emerton in central midfield in this formation as he gives us a little pace. Campbell should be off.
Russ Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Says something when Nelsen is a more effective striker, with more attempts on target than Roberts. Then he gets clean thru and gos down like a feather weight - so much for being big and strong that i keep hearing people bleat on about
Rovers in America Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 That's 2 chances for yellow cards against Pompey now that didn't even get called as fouls.
Plastic Head Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I believe it was already said earlier in the thread. An all black starting 11? Missed that, but you are right.
Rovers in America Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Missed that, but you are right. Well it wasn't presented as a premiership first, just a fun fact of the day.
AggyBlue Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Wow, much better this half. They must have been on the Red Bull at half time. Game on.
Poita Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I don't mind Emerton in central midfield in this formation as he gives us a little pace. Campbell should be off. Totally agree with you about emerton. Think he is doing well. Very versatile. Anyone else agree?
Russ Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Totally agree with you about emerton. Think he is doing well. Very versatile. Anyone else agree? I have always liked Emerton as a player, plenty of energy right thru to 90 mins. Time stick derbs on for roberts now, fresh legs to run at them a bit.
T4E Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 When was the last time Sky showed a game without feeling the need to mention the "Top 4"? How the (Please don't use that word again) are they relevant to this? Give it a ###### rest, they've ruined the game for the rest of us in every other conceivable way, atleast allow us a brief escape while we're watching our own team play.
Russ Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 They're targetting Reid everytime at right-back as they know he's not a natural defender, and they're having a lot of success with it too. Need to put Emerton back in there. Good lad Santa.. Wooooooooohoooooooo
HertsRover Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Great finish by RSC and a nice lay off from the man who can trap a ball further than most can kick it. We need to hold onto this!
RovertheHill Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Roque, Roque, Roque Super link play by Roberts T4E is absolutley right - shut up about the big 4. They even showed the Manu Chelsea goals at half-time FFS
AggyBlue Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 nice lay off from the man who can trap a ball further than most can kick it. Wasn't he trying to trap it?
HertsRover Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Wasn't he trying to trap it? Quite possibly . Just wish he wouldnt be so inconsistant.
Russ Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Great finish by RSC and a nice lay off from the man who can trap a ball further than most can kick it. We need to hold onto this! A simple 2 yard pass, not a moment of magic, while well executed only what you'd expect a footballer at this level to do. I still don't rate him and find him incredibly frustrating to watch. Decent shot there from him tho... I'm going to keep criticising him - it seems to be helping his game!!
